Minimus;
I would say , stop going to most/all of the meetings and deminish the authority the WT has in your mind.

one thing that i've learned within the last couple of years, is that there is power here.
the exposing of the united nations connection was huge.
the pedophile problem in the organization is known because certain people got out and did something about it.

most people never really change!
our personalities, whether we are active witnesses or are inactive ones, apostates or almost apostates, are the same.
if we tend to rant here on this board, the probability is we were ranters elsewhere.

"ADMIT IT, DIDN'T YOU FEEL SPECIAL being a JW?"

I just noticed this thread you started a few minutes before this one. Just the title compared to this one is a contradiction of terms in regards the subject of change isn't it?

Because I personally am feeling very different from when I was under WT control. The effects have not fully worn off yet, but they may some day. I am not as critical of other life styles any longer and no longer as prejudice of other religions as I was while associated with the WT.
These are just a few noticeable traits I can feel good about and it certainly is a change.

the odds are that we will continue to be the same whether we are "in the truth or out of the truth"..........This board reflects who we really are and what we always have been.
That is total bullshit!

for decades i heard people say "if i was an elder,i would change this or i wouldn't allow that.brothers and sisters alike would always try to get the ear of an elder so as to enact a particular cause.everybody has their own pet peeves in a congregation.
knowing what you know now, if as an elder you could make a major change in the congregation or organization, what difference would you make?.....this is hypothetical so it can be answered by male or female.
IF I WAS AN ELDER, I WOULD..............
Kick your ass out. That's a joke by the way.

yesterday i asked you know and yardif why they frequent these apostate sites.i asked this question: "how do you justify coming on these boards?".
you know's answer:"the way i understand it, it is a conscience matter.
" when i asked whether he was serious, he replied:"i am serious".when i asked him for further clarification, he suddenly vanished from the conversation.
Yadirf;
I correspond with Brooklyn, with information that I feel will benefit the Organization; I anticipate changes to be forthcoming in fulfillment of Daniel 11:35; etc.
I generally do not bother with WT adhearants such as yourself however, do you have any idea what the WT service dept. thinks of people who write in as you state above? I have seen first hand, and they are bothered by it to say the least. "Soundnes of mind" is a phrase that will be used for those that bother to continously write in, no matter what their standing or position in the WT religion. That is if they are favorable in what they write. "Disgruntled" is a term used for even the slightest hint of nonconformance detected in the tone of any letter.
So you have given us a look at how you may be viewed by the WT.
Happy Writing!

The WT and the local congregations certainly do discourage the net. Without a doubt, I'm sure you will agree, the WT tries to control information reaching it's adherents. So what's the point? Is it the fact that association (don't deny that it's association) with "apostates" on the net is a conscience matter?
Think back when we were in good standing. Did any of us ever violate any "no-nos" at any time? Sure we did!
That phrase alone "in good standing" is a cult caption.

as former jw i did witness favouritism towards elders and circuit overseers and also noticed how low status j-dubs actually lined up to speak to the circuit/overseers wife.even outside association seemed to be confined to say elders associating with elders etc.
i remember when even a sister gave a glass of water to a coughing circuit.overseer but i noticed she never did this to others in the hall.. then for instance how many at the hall formed groupies after meetings not making any effort to gell with others,i felt so sorry for those just sitting on there own.. so why do they act like this, it beats me because a lot of literature and talks focused on not being impartial to others,were they really taking it in or was it a question of congregation status or favouritism towards others.. also outside the meetings association didnt seem to exist and only confined to a certain favoured individuals.
JW meetings are a social gathering. At any social gathering there will be wall flowers and there will be very outgoing people. The reason it is noticed is they preach this "love" amongst them is a sign they are chosen by God. They are not chosen by God, therefore the result is as it is.
