  I need help! I'm losing my wife!

  my wife is becoming a witness and i've found very little that i can do to stop her!

  i've tried to show her that the wt does not quote correctly, i've talked to her about past beliefs and i've tried to reason with her about the bible.

  but she won't listen!.

  Welcome , you certainly face a challenge that could have long lasting effects. One angle to refute WT teachings may be to find out which publication she is studying with her personal study conductor. Obtain a copy for yourself and be inquisitive as to what chapter she is currently looking into and kindly disprove any thing you can. It will be a lot of work and take a lot of patience on your part but if she's worth having around it just might work. A thesis could be overbearing and considered a direct satanic attack, yes they do use that, then the stone wall goes up. Again, most here have very good ideas, please stay around and keep us posted.

  that sick child molesting bastard is in jail now as we speak.. his sentencing is set for september 24th i think.. one down many more to go.. thanks to all who have supported this cause.. sheila

  the above phrase has been bandied about in the past and present, often as a form of insult when the poster disagrees with something another poster has said.. but what exactly do they mean?.

  how do you think like a jw?

  is there a certain code of synapses that distinguish a jw from a non-jw?.

  It's a weird phenomena, one must be or have been a dub to recognize the thought pattern and identify it. If one was never a dub then a strange "way about them" is what I've been told. Others will see or hear odd emanations from a dub or group of dubs. It's sort of like the gb's claim "they just know" well you just know when you here dub speak. Would you agree?

  on sunday, i sat outside the local kingdom hall waiting for the meeting to start.

  being disfellowshipped, i was gonna go in late.... 20 minutes later.. i went to a starbucks instead.. i think im over it....i really do.. its a shame.

  It's hard to say what is easier, being kicked out or fading. Once you realized the lies you believed for so long it doesn't really matter. The disappointment and hurt are the same, one method prolongs the transition the other propels it. But you still remain "you" and will find a new way to think that is hopefully free of mind control. For me it's approaching a year after walking away, the anger sometimes still comes up but the intensity fades. Family, still in, makes things more complicated and I see some lingering in agony just so they don't rock the boat.

  being a long time, jethro tull fan..... a certain song has brought deep and painfull feelings to the fore.. though i have stopped listening to the song, at the request of a dear friend who saw how meaningfull the words were, in my fragile state the words are now available for you..... grab a tissue.... .

I was sinking and the waters were covering my head when I came here. But thanks to you, I am now able to stand firm and continue fighting the fine fight of the faith as I strive side by side for the faith of the good news with my integrity-keeping brothers and sisters.
  I hope that you will continue to encourage all Witnesses who visit this site. We really need this kind of encouragement. I thus conclude by thanking you from the heart of my bottom. Stay strong and guard the drinks.

  Will the WT Warn You of Pedophiles?

  i feel the cover up of pedophiles by the wt is in part because they (legal dept) realize the seriousness of the charge.

An organization can not disseminate information about people without risk of financial loss from civil action. Whether the person is convicted or not, how could a billion dollar corporation put such risk in the hands of their untrained volunteers? Can you see the problem that could develop for them, what if an innocent person wound up on their list? What if a convicted person wound up on their list? What if they have no policy at all? What if they chose to keep it quiet as is the unwritten policy in effect now? All would have legal recourse and potential financial loss for the WT, and that is shielded at all cost.

  This is a problem with an organization that claims to speak for God but is mainly interested in keeping their financial security. At the same time advising it's followers to shun high paying time consuming employment or higher education. The so called sheep followers are harmed either path supported by the WT. Any action taken against the WT is looked at as persecution from Satan and his followers, and helpless children are left with no affective emotional support. Who else is causing indirect harm? The WT is.

  Since loosing money is apparently a huge concern for the WT, as many civil actions as possible, inundating them with so many actions at once and continuing would seem like a good thing. However, reality is not many have the funds or drive to do so. The WT has low cost or free lawyers and bully tactics because "they speak for God" with an unmatched arrogance even the Pharisees would be proud of. It must be said that not all WT personnel act the same, and try to help the victims of abuse but come under a blanket of suspicion from those in control, i.e., other elders, circuit overseers, district overseers, etc. Because giving to much attention to the victim, in an official capacity, will bring the organization into the picture and that can't happen without risking more financial exposure.

  It is one big sad circle of reasoning the WT may never get out of. So many chose to walk away and try to never look back.
