almost unbelievably after 4 years of staying away from the hall and the jws last week they called and said there were allegations of apostasy against us.

we have been very quiet about our feelings and so were very surprised and angered.

we were told that they were going to discuss the allegation and determine if we would be formally accused of apostasy.

You must remember that most of the time "Arrogance Rules" they believe they are acting for a god. It is the same mentality as a suicide bomber, however not as drastic. What does that mean to you? As many have already stated, elders of the WT do what they want with / to you.

i say that because we have been trained to lie and not even give it a second thought!

we might intially call it "theocratic strategy" and we may utilize this "provision" so that the "good news" might be spread.

but more often than not, we bend the rules as we see fit, reasoning that it's not really lying, afterall!

I must admit minimus convinced me to look at the "apostate" internet sites, I knew computers he did not. I was sure demons would come out of my monitor and get me. I guess they did however I only like the female ones.

just as a matter of curiosity i was wondering if any of you know of anybody who has read raymond franz' 'crisis of conscience' and who actually remained a jw?

i have sent and lent this book to a number of people within the wts, even a co, all of whom left eventually.

one person remained due to domestic issues, but resigned from all his duties and remains as such.

Yes I do. A person I studied with mind you! He checked it out from a local library and claims he read it. I think he just might have skimmed it, my teaching him surely has nothing to do with him staying a witness.

I caught myself before any real damage was done between me and my son. The pressure they put upon you to remain an elder can ruin any relationship with a teen. "If you don?t have control (robots) of your own household how can you teach the congregation?" was the prominent thought of the day. I saw it for what it was, destructive. If I would not guide and assist my own child in a time of need WHO ELSE WOULD? Family is important, family love bonds should not be undermined by the WT they are heartless followers of heartless, mindless leaders to make a name for their Jehovah. I want no part of it any longer.
