why dose it take two witnesses if a child says someone molested them.. but with oral sex it only takes the one spouse to get the other mate in trouble.

It just seems like they are so obsessed with oral sex but pedophiles Oh Well we need two wittnesses for that. Then they drag the poor child into the meeting and confront the molester before they even call the police. Why the difference in how they handle oral sex and pedophiles?
jehovah`s witness`s have the most stable marriages..very few jehovah`s witness`s cheat on thier mates..most jehovah`s witness`s stay married for thier entire lifes to the same person..jehovah`s witness`s have the happiest marriages!..becoming jehovah`s witness`s,has saved many marriages..................................................my experience has taught me none of that is true.................what is your experience?............................outlaw.
I truly loved my husband when we got married but he was also an elder. The religion came first. No matter what. I could have been bleeding to death and if the congo needed him he was gone. We are still married but I am bitter over it. When we were first married I went to the CO and talked to him about how hard I was finding it. His replay was my husband was an elder first.
No they do not encourage happy marriages.
i've thought a lot about this over the years .
bonafide's thread reminded me of this and how unethical and insensitive it was for jehovah's witnesses meetings to go on without stopping while some rank and file members were having medical emergencies right in the kingdom hall.
my experience i will never forget.. in 1983 i was among some pioneers who were giving experiences at a circuit assembly in front of a crowd of about 2,000. this 83 year old sister was standing at the microphone and when she got done with her part - she sat next to me in her chair on the stage.
My husband had a major heart attack while a being the school overseer and it was his fault that he would not tell anyone he was having bad chest pains as he latter said he wanted Jehovah's meeting to go on. But at the end of the meeting when he finally did tell another elder. The elder let me drive him to the hospital alone instead of calling an ambulance. He could have died in the car with me alone, it was all so very stupid looking back. Now I am just bitter at it all, the they brain wash people to give up their lives for the cause so to speak. My husband is just very deluded, hopefully he will see someday.

during the first part about submission, everyone gave the same comments about being obedient to the elders even though you may not agree with them.
and they talked about submission to the organization no matter what.. no one, i mean no one raised the possibility that the counsel or instructions might be wrong, or harmful.
Right before his talk, someone in the back of the hall started having a heart attack. I saw all of this from the 2nd school.(My goatee and earrings scare too many "freinds") Paramedics had to bee called, but not even someone in an obvious fight for his life didn't stop the f*&cking spiritual food from being dispensed. The paramedics had to keep speaking louder and louder to be heard over the comments during the "bible highlights"."

Then the elders let me drive him to the hospital alone. No one even called the ambulance for me. Such love. That is how we can tell it is the true religion by the love we see among them. That is what we learned last night also.
i scraped these off of a jw message group, and they are too over the top to not pass along.
it is interesting to see that jws pass along these yarns just as their worldly friends do.
most of them have that vague "friend of a friend" quality that urban legends are well know for having.

The art of forgiveness
Here is an experience that is good to meditate on
It talks about a young 22 yr old pioneer brother that was out in service.
He went to a door and the householder showed irritation at his presence.
The man told him to wait and he came back armed and shot the brother.
The brother died there. During his trial, the man said that he hated Jehovah's Witnesses and had warned that he would kill the first person to knock on his door.
The man was found guilty and was sentenced to prison. Years later he was released and went back to live in the same house. The brothers in
the congregation were warned and avoided preaching at that house.
But there was a brother that desired to visit that house again. He was advised against it, but he insisted and was given permission to visit the house.
The brother figured that time spent in prison had changed the man. So he went to the murderers home. The man was very surprised to see him
and asked him if he knew that he had killed a witness before. The brother said he did know and this surprised the man. He was curious to know
the kind of man capable of knocking on his door so he invited the brother in and a Bible study was started.
The months passed and the truth became clear to the man. He came to know a God capable of forgiving even the most serious sins. His spiritual progress was evident, but at the invitation of attending the Kingdom Hall, the man declined. He said he couldn't go to the Hall if the parents of the young brother he had killed were not able to forgive him also. The brother told him, "It's not necessary.
Jehovah has forgiven you. He doesn't keep account of what you did before you knew the truth." Even so, the man was reluctant to accept the invitation to the Hall. He insisted in needing the forgiveness from the father of the young brother he had killed.
Otherwise he would not go to the Hall. The brother asked him, "Do you really need that? Do you really need the father of the young man to forgive you?"
When the man told him he did, the brother said to him, "Consider yourself forgiven because I am the father of that young man you killed." Today, both are serving in the same congregation and yearn for the day when Jehovah will bring back to life that young man in the resurrection. The discourse concluded shortly after this, showing the value of genuine forgiveness. Certainly that experience touched the hearts of all that heard it. It's difficult, but not impossible, the art of forgiveness.

I thought the same thing. I was just really in shock. I know many have responded that this has always been the case, but no they are getting worse. I swear they are. The comments that everyone was making were out of this world. They said it did not matter even if the counsel was wrong or bad or not right that we just needed to accept it no matter what because Jehovah would want us to, we just needed to make it fit. I was like oh my God!!!
We are told we have to listen to the elders no matter what but then when we do and it all goes wrong for us then we are blamed for putting our trust in imperfect men and not keeping out trust in Jehovah.
I just wish my husband would wake up it is truly scarring me.
in my hall growing up, i remember 6 childless couples.
some have died, some are still alive.. i stayed single for the kingdom, hope to change that.. presently in my congregation, there are 4 brothers over 30, two over 40, that are single for the kingdom.
and about 10 single sisters over 25.. three of the five married elders have no children.
We did. But it was not only for the Kingdom there were problems in both of our families and I was so afraid that I might pass on something. Maybe I would have because I would have raised them to be JW's and how horribly sad would that have been. I regret is sometimes but all in all there are many couples that are childless outside the org also. I do not know I have mixed feeling about it but it was truly my choose.
yesterday, in one of those conversations i try to have, i talked to an older sister.
she was waiting outside the hall for her ride, so i sat down and talked to her, just about like old times as a witness, theocratic history.
she has been baptized 38 years.. anyway, i was saying about why did some leave in 1975. she replied, "well, they got impatient with jehovah, and they took it out on him by leaving.".
No and I so wish they could. I had a conversation on Saturday very much like yours with an 83 year old sister who felt that she still might not be in the new system because she could still do some serious sin to get Jehovah's disapproval. HOW SAD is that.
It would not be God's disapproval but the WT's disapproval. They just cannot see the difference.
Flippers post on the June 15 WT is amazing they truly believe that the WT and the Organization are the same. I was talking with my strong JW husband last night and the WT is so clear that we have to follow the FDS no matter what. He still cannot see it expect when it comes to their stand on pedophiles then he can.
To me it is all just so unbelievably sad.
an elder and his wife paid my mom a friendly shepherding call and they asked how my ex was doing.
she said, "fine, as far as she knows".
then they asked about my daughter and my mother praised her for her hard work and the fact that she won a special award within her company in which she gave a speech for, and then the former bethel elder said, "well, that's how satan the devil gets people, through praise and making people feel that their work is more important than anything else".
If I had to make up a religion that's sole purpose was to destroy people's faith and destroy people's lives, I could never come up with anything more effective than the WTS.
I totally agree. The make Jehovah out to be this evil God who can kill you in a heart beat if He gets made at you for anything.
to start, i have to say that the ice cream truck is a perfectly legitimate business.
i remember having fun with my fiends as we chased it down so we could buy some ice cream during the hot summer months.
even today i sort-of perk up when i hear the music in the distance.. .
I have always thought that. But I was molested as a kid. The guys who run those trucks always gave me the creeps. I would never let a kid buy ice-cream from them. I know it is just something kids do. But coming from where I saw it I just did not like them.
