I feel trapped...I might return to the Borg....

i have being thinking quite a while before posting.

actually i haven't post for quite a long in the forum and i guess i'm one of the old ones, since i became member since 2001.. after leaving the borg for almost 16 years and disfellowshiped 10 years ago.

Sorry to hear of your predicament, It's so hard to know what to do for the best - the best being your sanity in this case with illness and wanting to have your family around you.. in our congregation it took 1 1/2 years for a sister to be re instated and after that there was a study of the Teach book, not missing a meeting, parameters set up for her, etc.... it depends on the elders in the cong and now with the DO being removed and the CO having complete control and the elders like to Kiss A....., it may not be easy... but then it may be worth it.. it's your move.

I am in but could be easily in the world, cause even with "family" I am still on my own.... life is life... and personally I like it that way - me and my kid, that's it.. no matter how much you smile and people think all is well, it isn't!

And at my age, there is no where to go

Sister attendants not able to give directions to a brother..Misogyny

at our recent rc i was advised by a sister who was an attendant that they have been advised not to be able to give brothers directions as this should be dealt with by the brothers.

apparently at the pre-convention attendants meeting, the sisters were asked to stay behind.

this was when they were given the news that the brothers should deal with brothers.

ok this is story1.annointed bro moves into a house and rents room from a lady.

2.he is currently serving as elder.3.there happens to be a disfellowsipped brother also living in house.4.

the annointed elder decides to help him to return to jehovah.5 the other elders find out and decide to remove him as elder because he is living and helping a df person and the annointed bro cannot move out because he does not have enough money.

My 67 Year Old Elder Brother Is Depressed Because The Younger Elders Are Taking Over

he was the school overseer but they relieved him of that to allow younger elders the privilege of the job.

now he is depressed and actually shed tears, believing his worth has diminished.

Ageism - happens to the best of us .... once your over 50, look out, male and female - especially if your single -- good for cleaning, mowing, helping people to move, baby sitting, but responsibility, no, no.

Isnt there a scripture that says respect those with white hair, responsible, knowledgeable people??

Tell him not to be sad, he isn't there for men (or women)... but then he may walk away, who knows.. Power and control taken away and given to a youth, gawd forbid! What is this world coming too?

Come on now.. my cousin is bi polar and had nothing whatsoever to do with Armageddon, or everyone is against you.. That mental issue is inherent in those with emotional, psych issues.. and there are stats on the fact 1 out of 3 now has the tag of some type of mental illness -- look over your shoulder....

Cutbacks in hospitals, psychotherapists, putting those with mental illness on the streets, homeless, families cant handle them, pills... and on it goes,... they cant find or hold employment, persecution disorders, persecution complexes, things too many to mention....

Theyneed help and there really, honestly isn't any.

well i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.

my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.

i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

My son is still suffering from a PTS syndrome due to JW practises - never was df but s o called friends and family treat him as such, and he is older now and only came to certain conclusions a few years ago.. he has separated God from the WT business... and as we all know someday we will all die, how is anyones guess, but now my son is more at peace with himself, we all have to gain that peace and for those who have not denied that there is a God, but the WT has made Him what He is for huge profit and massive real estate enitity, their time will come - the Bible says the cleansing will start at the House of God- and since they are saying that the GB are His representatives on earth, guess that must be the place!

Maybe Australia is just the start

New Inactive One Saying Hello to all

lostwun here, i joined 2 months ago but am now just finding the courage after doing more research to formally introduce myself to the board and embrace my new beginnings as an ex-jw.

i am a second-generation jw.

i grew up with parents who are well known and very respected in many circuits.

Play possum -- unspecified illness, nerves, breakdown, meds, -- tired, doctors appts, etc etc etc the list goes on.. there are so many on pills and anxiety levels are so high, sickness all around -- they are putting this information out in the mags now, so the pubs can read it for themselves -- as usual, they hint at things they don't want to mention off the platform and then say it pertains to the "world"......

Take it slow, your faith is lost in the organization and the clicques- the smiles that are shown but behind that is gossip and jealousies.. and we are told to put on the NEW personality????

Its too bad there is not another way to get this information out to the RF.--. where they don't read anything but JW.org, they are happily content with the way the govt is handling the RC issues. Does anyone own a newspaper or would that be a privacy act thing in Canada? Just a big one pager stating Contis settlement, the hushed up payoffs prev to hers and what is coming down the pipe that wil have to be settled, In Canada, U S and Australia and Britain for starters.........

It has to come out more boldly than it is now.
