some topics generate hundreds of reads but few replies.
others, well ... i'm not one for scientific studies.
nor why one thing works and another will not, despite the time and effort put into it (whatever the thing/endeavor happens to be).. kindly inform me if you, in passing by and, having nothing better to do of a saturday eve, happen to see this post but have no intention of responding.. perhaps this is rocket science after all.. thank you for reading though finding no necessity to reply .... "they stayed away in droves.".

i never believed a word of any of it !.
raised a j.w from birth, i'd sit in the meetings and at conventions wondering what the hell it was all about and that it was all one big joke and imagine that they''d all suddenly turn around laughing and pointing at me !!
saying something like "haha the joke's on you".
I was born and raised in it also. Dunked when I was 13 - Full time Pioneer for 1 year - 10 years fading out - now I am out for a full year - skipped my first Memorial this year.

" (this would harmonize with matt 10:9 that tells them not to take any money with them).
" the interpretation of the acts of the apostles, 1961, pp.120-21.
it became evident, however, that further personal training in the house-to-house ministry was needed.
I just read this and I told my wife that I want to go to meeting tomorrow. She asked me if I am nuts, I said no. I just want to give a few of these answers.
The only problem is that I have a beard now (because I have not been to a meeting in about 1 year) and they cant call on me because of my beard.
I guess that I might just skip it tomorrow and watch football with my kids.

i haven't been to a meeting in over a year, my husband longer, but he came with me to the dc last year to help me with our 4 children ( our youngest was one).
that was the last thing either of us have attended.
we have a trip planned and come home the wednesday before the dc and he does ont want to go, nor will i force him to.
The only thing with my parents is, if I don't go, my mom will sky rocket into depression, I have had 3 phone calls today about it. And then my dad will completly blame me. She backed off about meetings and such a long time ago. I don't know, I just want to scream. It's so aggrevating. I'm completly torn. Why they want me to go with all 4 of my tattoos to show off and all I have no idea. CRAZY !

Problem is I also don't want to go, but my parents are stressing me out. I can't go until friday night when he is done with work and can get home, because I will only take the 2 older kids with me if I am going by myself. I am completly torn, Is it better to go and do something I really don't want to do to keep the peace, or just skip it all together. I hope this made sense.
i have a theory on why people become jw's.
there are 3 different reasons:.
1: you were born into a family of jw's.

I have a theory on why people become JW's. There are 3 different reasons:
1: You were born into a family of JW's
2: You had a "life crisis" "Example - Quiting drugs or drinking - Death of loved one - Divorce - Depression"
3: You are NUTS - "Dont fit in with normal people"
I have seen about 70% born into it and about 25% had a life crisis and about 5% of people are NUTS.
Has anyone else noticed this?
