Is There ANYTHING More Monotonous Than Living As A JW?
by minimus ini look back and think of how mindless, boring and dumb it all was.
.
i think of having to sit at mind numbing meetings, bored to tears, making believe i was enjoying the fine spiritual banquet.. i think of how we used to drive around in "service" looking for nothing to do----just so that we could put our time in---hoping that no one was home.. everyone had to conform to direction and whims of elders or the society.. i am soooooooooo glad i'm out!.

Some questions about WT sources
by witnessgirl insomething has been bugging me for years and years, and always bugged me when i was an active witness.
i've never mentioned it before and i've never seen it discussed.
like with a lot of other matters, i just assumed that this meant that i was missing something that everyone else understood.

I find it funny that if i disagree, i get flamed - if i agree, ok -- if i ask questions, i get insulted.
what a nice place you all have here :) -

it saws "Jehovahs Witness" discussion forum.
it doesnt say "bitter haters of the watchtower only"
I am an ex - jw who cannot live up to the standards they desire, and have problems with facets of the bOrg....
just because i had a GREAT experience whilst i was IN, doesnt mean i deserve labeling... I am who i am, just because i am not like you, doesnt make my experience less worthy. -

Labeling people "worldly"
by JimmyPage inby using the label "worldly" the wt shortchanges people.
the same people it quotes as authorities in its magazines can also be easily dismissed if their opinion disagrees with the wt viewpoint by simply stating that after all, those persons are "worldly".
but those who use this term also shortchange themselves.

are there recent instances of calling PEOPLE and not their ACTIONS worldly?
-
Solace1998
you mean they arent one in the same?
i think the finite and limited nature of "life" could very well be considered a lie.
