So, I need some opinions. I have been thinking about getting a tattoo. Something small and classy. Should I?

Hey everyone. My last few posts have been about the information I have been finding and my husband's reaction to it. So I thought I would take a small break from that. I just want to reflect on how I am feeling now. I hate to see my husband upset, but I feel that being the highly intelligent (albeit brainwashed) man that he is, he will soon start to see all the crap that is really going on with the WTS. I hope that day comes sooner rather than later. Until such time, I am feeling like a different person. I feel like I a coming out from under a pile of rubble and I can finally see the sun! For the first time, I really feel like I have hope. I know that "worldly" people as a whole are not the Satan-loving people the WTS painted them to be, I know that you can pursue higher education and still have a relationship with God, I know that you can have some nice things and not be a materialistic person. I LOVE THIS NEW-FOUND HOPE!!!!!! I want to shout to the world that I am finally finding out what happiness truly is!!! As I have said before, I love meeting new people, so drop me a line and introduce yourself. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Letter regarding the WTS from the UN
by heybaby inok, so i keep reading on here how the wts was associated with the un.
i had never heard anything about this.
i guess i shouldn't be surprised, since the un is the "beast" and i know the wts would never let the congregations know they were in bed with them.

Ok, so I keep reading on here how the WTS was associated with the UN. I had never heard anything about this. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since the UN is the "beast" and I know the WTS would never let the congregations know they were in bed with them. Anyway, I went to the UN's website and I found a letter regarding the WTS's dismissal from the UN. I told my husband about it, discreetly of course, and he really did seem surprised. He said that there had to be a good reason for the WTS joining. I said if the UN is so horrible, then the WTS should have nothing to do with them at all. To which he replied, they may have joined before information came out in the publications showing that the UN is the "beast." Well, I got out the Revelation book (released in 1988) and looked up the part in Chapter 32 which clearly identifies the UN as the "beast." Then I read him the letter, stating that the WTS joined the UN in 1991, after they know good and well what they themselves were declaring in regard to the UN. No real response from my husband. I feel bad for my husband actually. He can't see it yet and he is really upset with my thoughts and feelings toward the organization. But I have no negative feelings toward him about it, he's just still very blind to the facts. Here is where you can find the letter from the UN: http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/pdfs/watchtower.pdf PM me if you'd like, I love meeting new people!!

Wow, my husband it totally freaking out on me. I presented an ample amount of information that I found about birthdays (this happened to be the topic under discussion). Mind you, I presented info from ONLY the WT and Awake. He wouldn't even let me finish!! He started freaking out saying that he can't handle me asking these questions. It got pretty ugly. If you want more details, send me a message.

ANOTHER EXPERIENCE THAT I WANTED TO SHARE: Ok, this happened to me a few years ago. I was between jobs, and I decided to use that time to auxiliary pioneer. I had never been able to do it before and I was very excited. Well, about 2 weeks into the month, I ended up getting a wicked case of pneumonia. If anyone here has had pneumonia, you know what I was going through. So of course, I was down and out for the rest of the month. I was too sick to leave my bed, much less go out in the freezing cold weather for hours a day. I missed about 3 weeks of meetings because I was just entirely too sick. My husband called the service overseer and explained the situation and that I wouldn't be able to make my time. He seemed cool with it, very "caring." When I finally got back to the meeting, this brother (the service overseer) approaches me. Did he ask how I was feeling? NO! Did he ask how he could help me out? NO! Do you know what the first words out of this mouth were? He said "I hope you don't plan on signing up to pioneer again, because not making your time is disgusting!" I was SHOCKED!! I just stood their in disbelief, with a range of emotions swelling up at the same time. I was hurt, and at the same time angry....By the way, this same brother also told my best friend (at the time) that she needed to "push back from the dinner table" because he thought she was getting too fat. This girl could be a supermodel! I guess he just enjoys tearing people down.

post - df experience
by Solace1998 init was a shock to many when i was df'ed -- .
but i found afterwards, many did not want to obey the arrangement... one sister cornered me at a local supermarket, and made sure everything was okay with me, and if i ever needed someone to talk to, that she and her hubby were available... .
there is more to this, but another sister i worked with was quite ardent about talking to me about much more than just work .

The Watchtower Organization - A Toxic Parental Figure
by Jeremy C inalmost everyone who leaves the watchtower organization acknowledges the fact that the jehovahs witnesses leadership is quite masterful when it comes to using guilt as a means of motivation and coercion.
throughout the watchtower articles, convention talks, and talks given by traveling overseers, there are often statements woven into the material that are designed to evoke feelings of guilt in those who are not robotically falling in line with all organizational programs and group-think.
in addition to the many cliches, buzzwords, and catch-phrases used in watchtower material, the organization also makes comparisons between the field service activities of witnesses in one part of the world to another part of the world.
