  New JW shows up at my wife's work.....

  so my wife shows up for work and finds out that a self-employed consultant is going to be on site for a few days.

  she also finds out through the jw grapevine that the consultant is a jw.

  (my wife and i are faders, but still attend the occasional meeting.

  JW's are molded through the Borg mindset to be egoists and more accurately narcissists. Worldly people are beneath them. The witnesses have superior knowledge and belong to God's only earthly organization.

  Plus, they have to think highly of themselves because to acknowledge what they really are would be depressing.

  Many are depressed because they realize that they are not happy within the borg and instead of placing the blame on the WTBTS itself they take the blame solely. The borg then reinforces that preception.

  Unfortunately, some come out of the borg with that same egoist attitude and the entitlement mindset of government should provide all things to me. It is understandable because that is what the borg purports that God's new governement will do.

  It is hard to break through that frame of mind once it has been hardened, glazed and fired into an individual.

  But if you are a Dub, then you are afforded enhanced stature based on your rank within the borg, which is what your wife observed.

  The JW's are the NEAREST thing to the Truth....EVER!

  i'm sick of this.

  when you show a jw the fallacy of their organization (on the rare occasion they don't get the forcefield up in time), they'll retort with something as assinine as.

  'yes....but jehovah's witnesses are the nearest thing to the 'truth' there is!'.

  You could say well, the only two things they may have right according to the bible is the hell fire doctrine and the whole trinity thing, so everything else is wrong.

  Other religions may well have more than two things right so that makes them closer to the truth, doesn't it.

  In reality there is no reasoning with those people until they themselves want to see the light.

  They look at you as a theif, trying to steal something that is very precious to them. So, they fight with all their might to keep it.

  My public talk on sunday

  i am currently preparing for the public talk on sunday and as i was looking through the outline some these thoughts just keep popping up my mind that in the face of several allegations and numerous scandal, wbts has not stopped claiming to be god's organisation, i am wondering if they will ever realise that their strategies are no longer appealing to the general public.

  regrettably, they keep on publishing and printing using victims of mind control hazards to the detriment of over 7 million rank and file members and spiritual illiterates in the society.

  i keep on pondering on how long this malicious activity would continue.

  Just point out some of what they already believe in such a way that it will make them think how silly it is. I like that suggestion.

  this was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.

  of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

  Pleeeaaassseee, Watchtower tighten your grip on the rank and file as tight as you can, strangle them with "truth". Cramp and Press them together like the grapes in a wine press, so they can with stand any storm as a block like ship, on Star Trek. The more Borg like you make it the more of a paradise it will be......

  Ok, so I would just love it if the WTBTS did the following:

  Create a central bank for all witnesses to use exclusively, for their personal, business, and investment banking.

  Eliminate all "worldly" TV viewing to include movies. Replace this with WTBTS approved videos, to be requested at your literature counter.

  Software has been created to limit Internet viewing to approved internet sites only, every household should install this on all computers within the household and business.

  All babtised publishers should limit their work week to 40 hours so that more time can be dedicated to Organizational Activity. Counsel should be given to those who do not.

  Starting with the new service year, the service overseer will be visiting households during their family study night once every 3 months to offer encouragement and suggestions to improve the arrangement within the home.

  Implement these things and watch those on the fence leave in droves.

  I love the new high control tactics being implemented now.

  The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE

  i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.

  if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.

  Several were integral to my seeing the WTBTS for what it really is.

  JW nephew graduation party cancelled... your insight is requested

  i have a jw nephew in another state who was at very the top of his high school senior class this year.

  because of this, my sister (an elder's wife) had planned and sent out invitations to his "graduation party" which would be held at a community center with all the bells and whistles.

  i actually bought plane tickets for my wife and i to attend this party immediately after receiving the invitation in the mail.

  Although I greatly disapprove of such actions on the part of parents, I think this should happen more to witness kids so they can see the light as it were.

  I hope the WTBTS tightens its grip on the rank and file as well as parents on JW kids. It is a necessary evil in the grand scheme of reducing this publishing company to a publishing convenience store.

  I thought that Jesus was only a mediator to the annointed??? If that is the case then this statement is only directed to them and not the rank and file.

  What was your experience of working at an assembly hall build?

  i volunteered to help out at an assembly hall build about an hour away from where i live.. i thought it would be an amazing experience & was looking forward to it very much.. when i went to reception i was asked if i had any trade skills, it was just about then i began to realise because i had no 'blue collar' trade skills i would be treated as a lesser person.........maybe even a slight nuisance.. as all the 'brothers' busily carried out their 'manly' tasks it became quite a discouraging experience because i found other 'unskilled' jw's guarded their jobs very closely & said they did not need any help.. if it was a place of christian joy i did not find.. .

  Great! It was something to do other than service, meetings, etc. A little break from the norm. Everyone tries to get in on something like this so they don't have to do what they hate.
