during the first part about submission, everyone gave the same comments about being obedient to the elders even though you may not agree with them.
and they talked about submission to the organization no matter what.. no one, i mean no one raised the possibility that the counsel or instructions might be wrong, or harmful.

it doesnt matter because its not real.
in my hall growing up, i remember 6 childless couples.
some have died, some are still alive.. i stayed single for the kingdom, hope to change that.. presently in my congregation, there are 4 brothers over 30, two over 40, that are single for the kingdom.
and about 10 single sisters over 25.. three of the five married elders have no children.
Ive stayed single for the sake of my average looks and lack of charm
so here is one thing i have noticed, and i bet i was like this before myself.. so many jw elders have a sort of "casual importance" attitude at the meetings.
they nod a lot, they have those huge bookbags, they read those society letters during the meetings, they walk down the aisles during the meeting and whisper in each others' ear, they always sit in the aisle seats.
they give the appearance that what they are doing is the most important thing in the world.. even the way they stand, and their manner of speaking reflects that they feel important, but that they are "trying" to be humble even though jehovah god himself is using them.. for example, tonight before the meeting i was talking to an elder about the upcoming assembly.
yeh totally.
Epecially when they call on your home, invite themselves in with confidence.
The mount of times ive been taken to one side, or into the backroom for soemthing as petty as not holding my watchtower when doing the mics.

i admit its an unusual category to be in.
active witness because of family and friends.
raised in the truth but knows the real truth.
I think you overestimating how many people are fading witnesses in limbo, single and looking.
If your single i'd just leave, you have no commitments.
To clarify. I doubt you'd meet another witness that would openly admit to being our way inclinded. If they did, they would be very niave and wont be round for long.

i scraped these off of a jw message group, and they are too over the top to not pass along.
it is interesting to see that jws pass along these yarns just as their worldly friends do.
most of them have that vague "friend of a friend" quality that urban legends are well know for having.
I have 2 great demon based legends.

does anyone know what the watchtower's stance is on marrying a person who has been divorced on grounds of spousal abandonment?
the person who was divorced is not a jw, and the other person is inactive, but baptised and is currently going to meetings.
if they were to marry would any action be taken against the baptised person.
Yeh there is that, with time it can be forgotton. Probally very rarely... I think if you tell your ex. There "free to remarry" its assumed you have done something. So if your willing to lie... you could say your ex has told me "im free" as long as they dont contest that of course.
But in some cases the partners may remain as jw's which means it cant be assumed they lead immoral lives.
Ideally, if your ex has left being a jw. You wanna call them and get them to contact the brothers and tell them your free to remarry.
If you where really sneaking you could pay an escort to seduce your ex.. but that would be expensive.

Yeh it sucks sorry about that. On a positive its a good opportunity for two people to break free and support each other.Much better than doing it on your own.
Death and infidelity are the only things that can break a marriage officially for the watchtowerites.
I suggest, take a hit, get married spend a few years being dis fellowshipped. Get reinstated. In no time you'll be back (12-16 months i reckon) plus u might learn to like it! :)
Or you could just do what your told and wait... 50 years of loneliness is nothing i guess.
