So as a never JW, what do the JWs teach about these new "partakers"? Are they part of the 144,000, or are they starting a new 144,000, or did some of the original 144,000 get kicked out? Just wondering.

i have a comfortable enough relationship to speak openly with him about things, but am careful to disclose the extent of my disbelief in wt doctrine.

Is any one paid in the organization?

also, who owns the kingdom hall buildings and furnishings in them?

Blindnomore, I am just a person who is talking with a JW and she told me that they do not have paid leaders, as most churches who have pastors do. I was curious as to how the organization worked. Thanks for all the help, everyone. Several of your replies help me to understand better.

How many CREATIONISTS don't believe that we orbit the sun?
by 2050 inthe ones that i have met (bible believers) all seem to accept the current scientific consensus that the earth orbits the sun.
i'm not saying that they all reject bible truth but i suspect that the majority do..

I have wondered if "love bugs" are a genetic mutation of fire flies? Ha, that is funny! Actually, in some parts of the US fireflies are very plentiful in the summer, especially in the countryside.

We know scientifically that light can exist without heat, I am just not sure that humans can currently duplicate it. (The firefly) I believe that there was light in the beginning before the sun was created. God is light, and He can produce light without heat if He so desires.
