And I was talking about Federal Aid to states. I just posted the state counties that received the most Federal Aid. You tried to imply that the "blue" states receive the least amount of aid. That is simply not true as far as dollar amounts go. The latest figures I could find is for fiscal year 2004. In that year, according to the Census Bureau, California received $47,283,000,000 in Federal Aid, next on the list is New York which received $42,576,000,000. The next closest one is Texas at $25,674,000,000. Cali almost doubled theirs! And as far as the R's and D's go, sooner or later people will start to realize, there is very very little that separates the 2 parties.

Just a little dishonest. Your link was written by a guy with an agenda. He left out, purposely, some very key facts. First, the states receiving the least aid per income are the states that hold ALL the wealth, Ca, and NY. I mean that's what you want right, the rich supporting the poor?
But he left out one more very important fact, What state counties received to most aid?
The county report shows the top five recipient county areas
were:
Rank County/County Equivalent Amount
1 New York City, NY $40.6 billion
2 Los Angeles County, CA $40.2 billion
3 Cook County, IL $23.0 billion
4 San Diego County, CA $16.5 billion
5 Philadelphia County, PA $12.2 billionAgain, damn good try though!!

Big Oil, Big Money: One more reason the election is over
by willyloman inif the election wasn't already over, it is now.
the middle class americans (and i'm one of them) have lost billions in home and stock equity in recent months, this, from cnn's website this morning, should put the final nail in the gop coffin:.

I'm 100% with you MrsJones. But we still need to have a bigger demand for for higher mpg cars here in the US. Ford has a car, Fiesta ECOnetic, it gets 65 mpg!! The problem is, it's only sold overseas. There just is no demand for it here, and it's diesel. Here's a good write up on it: http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/08_37/b4099060491065.htm

Yup, that story goes right to the core of how ignorant we have gotten as a people regarding business. The public schools do not teach basic economics, and the media loves it that way! I read the story and there is NO mention of Exxon's profit margin! Exxon's profit margin is 10.17%, so for every dollar in sales, they make a dime. Compare that to McDonald's for example, they have a margin of 19.41%. Or Coke, 18.74%. How about Microsoft? You want to talk about greed? 28.78%!!!!

Make a statement you have found to be TRUE.
by gaiagirl injw's like to refer to their body of beliefs as "the truth", even when those beliefs are adjusted or even reversed, giving rise to the question 'if this is "the truth", then what were the beliefs which were promoted as "the truth" until the change'?.
state something you have actually found to be "true", in the sense that, in your experience, it agrees with what is observed in the real world.. .
i'll start: knowledge is power

Boring bookstudy book...which one was the worst?
by White Dove ini remember the old timers saying that the red babylon book was the hardest to understand.. in my memory, i'd have to say the isaiah books and daniel book were the most involved and boring.. the revelation book had gorgeous pictures in it (the writing was horribly boring), so i just looked at them, and i was 22 at the first study of it!.

Does all of them count? If I had to pick, I'd say the Daniel books.
