  What is my legacy?

  as i was cleaning my house last night, i was boxing up all my jw literature i still had out in the open...and i was surprised how there was so much!!

  i still had the videos in plain view, my bookshelf in my computer room was full over old kms/watchtower & awakes/bibles, and found my old mtg and service bags still full of literature too!.

  so i throw the majority of it out, box up the rest, and then when i'm done and relaxing, i start thinking about what my legacy will be.

  babygirl, we share same experiences with the difference that I never "confessed" or spoke to the elders. I wrote a letter and were gone. I refused to play by their rules.

  I've lost all my "so called" friends in the org plus my beloved fleshly sister...it's very tough but at the same time I'm happier than I've ever been. Why stay among people who only love you under certain circumstances??? As insearchoftruth wrote, you'll find more love and loyal friends out side and will learn they're so many wonderful people (who are not evil at all - go figure!!).

  I don't care what they think of me now...I only feel sorry for them. They belong to my past.

  meetings in insane situations

  my cong was very keen on having the meeting no matter what.

  i remember one occasion when we had a power cut in the middle of winter.

  due to the fact that there was no windows to the hall (!

  i find it hard to be content...even though i have a nice apartment, good job, good health, family and friends.

  i'm of course grateful for these things but i feel that somehow i always long for something else.

  when i'm single i want to be with someone...when i'm with someone i want to be free.

  i find it hard to be content...even though i have a nice apartment, good job, good health, family and friends.

  i'm of course grateful for these things but i feel that somehow i always long for something else.

  when i'm single i want to be with someone...when i'm with someone i want to be free.

  I couldn't face going

  i was suspossed to go to the meeting today, gotta to keep up the pretense in order to facillitate my fade.

  instead i had nice lie in, i visited my non-witness dad, and then met up with my first aspostate from this site mr. majestic.. i didn't want to go to the meeting because meetings make me angry, i can now see the techniques used to control the congregation by fear.

  i can't stand the thought that so many good people are being fed a banquet of lies and deception.. i could so easily never attend again..

  Thanks all! You all seem to have find contentment which makes me hopeful...and I will consider your words carefully.

  I'm 35, I was born into the borg. left unhappy marriage and borg summer 2008.

  Thanks poppers - interesting - however I find it very difficult to just relax and let go, even though I'd like too. Also what the world around us expects from us, I find difficult to ignore. However I will work on it!
