  New understanding of 144.000

  hi ya'll !.

  haven't been posting in a loooong time and perhaps this has already been discussed but i've heard that they're coming with a new understanding of the 144.000. that it should be taken symbolically and not literally!?.

  i guess they have to change it since so many more apparently belongs to the anointed ones..... well i hope this will make a few of them think and leave.. thx.

  what are the rewards for not being a witness any longer

  if the carrot and stick aspect of being jehovahs witnesses upset you how do you reclaim your desire for reward?

  i'm assumng that you all agree with me that feeling rewarded is a basic human desire.

  how much effort do you think we should put into trying to make our lives rewarding?

  Do you still know your bible?

  i used to pioneer and all that and new the bible well and could cite scriptures backwards and forwards...(i regret i didn't have any other skills to brag abt).

  today i hardly recall any scriptures...(except for matt 24:14 that may never go away though ).

  since i left i haven't opened a bible ones.

  I also wish I could turn off my brain

  these days my thoughts are driving me nuts.

  i need a break from my mind.. since i split up with bf i haven't eaten or slept well and all the thoughts running through my head, abt what went wrong, abt the future etc etc., that just won't leave me alone makes me so anxious.

  how to turn off the brain?

  Going to Las Vegas in 3 weeks!!!!!

  i am so excited i can hardly stand it!!

  i love going to vegas and try to go about every 3-4 years.

  the last time we went was 3 years ago and we did not gamble as we were trying to do "what is right".

  i am feeling a little emotional as i write this, i have just finished reading the replies to my delema about my son; to deprogram or not.. i am truly touched deeply at the care and wisdom represented on this board.. when i have a question, there you all are, ready with answers.... when i have worries, there you are with words of comfort.... when i decisions to make, there you are with suggestions.... when i relate my joys, there you are being happy for me.... i would never have thought that a bunch of 'strangers' on an internet forum, of 'horrible apostates' no less, would become so important to me.. a watery eyed thankyou to you all.
