  Do you know your countries national anthem?

  i know "god save the queen" but only the short verison that they have at football matches.

  i think the origanal is meant to be about 8 verses long isn't it?.

  I always thought that for example the russian anthem sounds very much like a kingdom song Some are very similar.

  hello everyone, id like to introduce myself a little.

  ive been viewing the comments and topics on this website for about a month or two and have found it both interesting and enlightening.

  i can almost relate to about anything to anyone on here.

  Hi and welcome and thanks for sharing your story. Like you, I was born a JW. I can relate to everything you say. I left 2,5 y ago and I've never been happier! Been doing at age 35 what most people do when they're 18

  It just gets me so upset and angry every time to hear that you have to chose to belong to a sect that controls everything you do or else you'll lose your family. What kind of ultimate choice is that??!! coming from a "loving org/god"?? It's a joke!

  Please don't get baptized just to please your family. Remember you'll never be free and you're still very young to get married. Wait and see...I'm sure the right decision will come to you. Seems as if you have a good life going for you.

  You seem like a strong person and I'm glad you had the guts to be and do different from the other young people in your cong. I got baptized at 16 and married at 22. I was never happy. Now I'm divorced and soon too old to have children of my own...

  Just saying you should think twice. Keep us updated.

  Question for witnesses who were married or intimate during their time in the religion

  i don't want to get graphic with this and get this thread locked, so please don't go overboard with answers.. i was having a discussion with someone about the jw experience, and was wondering if, since "jehovah" is an important part of the religion, during the moments of intense passion in a relationship, would you yell out, "oh, jehovah!

  oh, jehovah!".

  seriously, would a witness do that?.

  I listened to the meeting over the phone with my grandmother. This religion is nuts!!

  my grandmother has been a little ill, and had to be put in a facility temporarily.

  she should be getting out sometime next week.

  i'm not particularly close with her, and that probably has a lot to do with my father.
