Zid those are very funny.
Are they based on real life happenings by chance?

i am in urgent need of a medical professional (in coaatal carolina are - between charleston and savannah) for my jw wife -blood count dangerously low.. released from hospital with blood count at 5.5 and "there is nothing else we can do for you here that you cannot do at home (iron supplements, high iron/protein diet)..
Alternator,
I went back and read your first post and if I understand correctly you're a catholic and your wife is a JW.
If she is resolute on holding to the blood stand, the Elders at her local kingdom hall should be able to help you get
in touch with some doctors that are skilled at working Witness patients. They will either have a list at the hall or should
be able to get in contact with the hospital liaison committee.
A couple of things you haven't addressed yet. Is your wife a baptized J.W.? Or is she just attending meetings?
The answer to these questions will make a big difference on what happpens as far as they are concerned.
jehovah's witnesses are supposed to be the best friends you could ever have.
they're supposed to be genuine and loving.. not that you're out of jw friends, what's it like?.
I have to say for the most part I've been fortunate or blessed (depending on your viewpoint)
to have some real good friends throughout my life so far.
It sure helped when I first started having doubts, questions about the JW's, that a few of my friends from the hall
had already started missing meetings and/or were inactive.
We started getting together even more often with the extra free time we had from missing meetings, field service etc.
The last few weekends we've got together and watched the NFL playoff games (an excuse for us to grill-out and have fun)
And its not uncommon to get together and go watch a movie at the cinemas or rent some DVD's and watch at home.
As soon as summer gets here we get together and go to the lake for boating, swimming, camping, etc.
So I would have to say all-in-all they've been terrific friends. I know things can change and don't know what the future
may hold, but so far so good.
But even above and beyond all that, my wife and son have been my best friends and stuck with me through thick and thin,
the good times and not so good times. I don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without them.
Since when are we supposed to comb our hair everyday?
Is this another WT rule or is there biblical support for it?
very nice brother came by who comes about every 6 months or so.
i really like this guy and knew ahead of time that the next time he came over i was going to be friendly to him.
he came by during a storm and was obviously cold.
So an elder came by and asked me if I have found another Church
You could have said, "why are you looking for one too?"
so when we moved here from maine to okc, six years ago this coming april, my daughter was 7. the military moved us so it brings a big moving truck to your house and unloads all of your stuff etc.
we had been settling in for a few months and my daughter starting telling me that she was hearing things in her room.
small things at first, just enough to prick up her ears.
All I want to know is the Elder that helped take off the mattress still an Elder? Please tell me he's not.
I woulda figured if he felt that strongly about that it was/might be demonized that he would have wanted to burn it
utterly and try to completely destroy it.
So it seems his answer was lets just get it out of your hair and to heck with whatever homeless person might pull it
out of the dumpster and then become demon possessed and then go on a homicidal killing spree.
I would love to find that mattress.
Because if I can prove demon's in it then that would do nothing but build my belief in God,angels the afterlife etc.
Because if there's demons then the next logical step is that there's probably some good guys(Angels) out there.
That would be the proof I'm looking for.
Some people might say well what if it is demonized and it kills you? My answer would be the same as it always has been,
I'd die a happy man knowing that I got killed by a spirit creature(demon) and that there really is something else out there
instead of growing old and becoming a senile, invalid passing away at 80 or 90 in a nursing home.
We all take chances each and everyday with our lives as soon as we get into a car/truck/train/plane etc.. knowing full
well that the odds are high if they crash that we could die.
I would view this in the same light. I'm so tired of books, magazines, doctored photos, fuzzy images etc. trying to convince
people of spirits(whether good or bad).
If they're so determined to make themselves known, then i say do it. Quit hiding and playing and come out into the open.
If they can show themselves or affect some people, then why not come out and show us all.
Same with Martians and space aliens. Don't abduct just a few people. Heck come get me and i'll jump willingly onto the
spaceship. I want to know whats out there. Kinda like X-Files :)
LMAO @ noni1974
I woulda loved to see your Aunt's facial expression when you said that
so when we moved here from maine to okc, six years ago this coming april, my daughter was 7. the military moved us so it brings a big moving truck to your house and unloads all of your stuff etc.

small things at first, just enough to prick up her ears.
So the elder comes over loads the thing up and throws it out.
Throws it out? Where? Just outside? Do you know where he actually took it too?
He may have took it home and him and his wife having the best sex ever.
But all joking aside, it would have been interesting to take the mattress far away for a couple months to see what
happened while it was gone...then to bring it back into the house and see if the incidents started back up again.
The scientific/rational side of my brain says to try and duplicate it again to see if you get the same results.
Sorta like testing a theory.
I've never understood why demons would want to possess inanimate objects(such as pictures, books, lamps, mattresses)
when every time I've read about them in the bible it was animate creatures(people, swine etc.) To this day I can't recall
even in the bible anywhere that demons supposedly infected an object.
Has anyone else ever seen that even in scripture?
If I was a demon and had a choice in possessing either an object(picture, sculpture etc.) or a person(Cindy Crawford)
it wouldn't be hard to figure out which one I'd choose. :)

convinced as i 99% am that the wt society is all we have concluded, i feel i owe to myself and my children to be 100% convinced before actively trying to extract them.. first up i must say, doctrine is of little interest to me.
what gets me is the provable wrong-doing, the hypocrasy, cover-ups, double standards, you know what i mean i think.. on that sort of stuff, i feel it right to look at the counter arguments and proofs offered to explain the wt side of things, both by wt soc themselves and apologists.. therein lies the daunting road.
i grew up in the 'truth', so i never got to make sure of all things before getting baptised.
this is gunna be a long road to truth
Aussie Oz this is the same road that most of us are on.
That's what brought me to this board in the first place. I figured if according to the bible even Jesus was allowed to talk
to Satan after he rebelled (thus making Satan an apostate) and Jah got to talk to Satan in heaven after he rebelled
according to the book of Job, and we are encouraged by the WT to be christlike that I would follow their examples and
see what the other side had to say and if it could withstand the "truth".
Needless to say many of my former doubts (that I had been encoraged to shelf and wait on Jah) started to surface
and be substantiated. I researched everything I could find to either affirm my beliefs or to be able to deny them.
And it is still an ongoing search for truth. Not what man labels as "truth" but the truth that can stand up to any scrutiny
and still remain the truth. That was/is my biggest hangup with being raised a JW was that we were told not to question
certain things (such as the faithful slave doctrine, 1914 date etc.)
Everytime I heard a statement like that I would remind the "brothers" about the scriptures in the bible about to make
sure of all things and hold fast to what is fine, and to test the inspired expressions to see if they originate with God.
That is why I quit going to meetings because both I and the Elders knew that we were going to keep locking
horns when someone would say not to question. I just up and quit one day and didn't go back.
To this day one of my favorite (if not the favorite) expressions from the bible is that you will know the truth and the
truth will set you free.
And Jesus said his load was light and his yoke was kindly but that man would load you down.
The whole time at the kingdom hall I always felt loaded down and was always looking for the refreshment of my soul
that was talked about from the stage/platform but that I wasn't experiencing.
Now I must say that I do feel my load has lightened and some refreshment since I quit going.
I wish you well on your journey through life and have as much love, fun, enjoyment as you can as you pursue truth
just in case we only do go around once.
