  ok heres the thing.

  my english neighbor (arrived here from essex, is there really such a place?

  ) always makes those comments about our kids, our car, and so on even made fun out of me when i told him we used to be witnesses.

  Sounds like to me he's making a play on your wife. Bringing her flowers and telling her what a woman she is. Seems like trying to make you look bad or something.

  I would tell him straight up if I was in your situation that if that was the case that I would rip that ugly thing he calls a head off his shoulders and spit down his neck.
  Then if he gets real defensive by saying something like I was just being friendly and joking with my british style humor, tell him that you was joking too kinda,maybe and he took it to personal but to always remember what you just said in case he ever tought about going beyond just friends with your wife.

  I was like maybe I'm not seeing something on my end (heehe)
  or maybe from his handle he may speak (type) spanish or other language

  Just bumping this thread up again.
  Had some very good conversations online with some of you via voice chat using teamspeak. If anyone else wants to try it out I'll have the channel up for a couple more hours. Its free and like a chat room except instead of typing you actually talk using your microphone or combo mic/headset.

  Hi Eyes open!
  if you're not familiar with teamspeak all you got to do is go to www.goteamspeak.com and then click on free download and select your operating system to get correct file.
  After you install it then click on Quick connect and type in where it says server addess 62.146.116.194 and type in a username..(can be same one you use on here)
  Scroll down the list of channels til you see JWD channel and then it will prompt you for a password...the password is 1914
  that all there is to it...see you there when you can make it...I should be up for a at least another hour. If you don't make it by then we will be back on later today. Anyone is welcome to join us. This is same type chat that a lot of familys use to communicate so it not cost them anything. Also many gamers use it for massive multiplayer games to talk back an forth with each other.

  The drama was about me!

  i was today at the assembly and the drama was inspired by my story.

  i was pictured as the former elder who influences badly on the congregation by saing "now when it has been so widely preached in our territory it is time to concentrate on helping poor people.

  then back to sweden to the russian group where i was about 7 years.

  I see from your post that we have some similarities. I too am 40ish still relatively new to this forum and was born and raised in one of the two states you mentioned in your first post. My handle may give it away but I'm not telling(LOL)

  Trading Hierarchies

  this is closely related to a topic that's already been presented here by someone else, but i felt that i had to post this because i wanted a more detailed answer to a question i raised on the post: .

  when a person who is jw converts to the rcc, or vice versa, isn't this essentially trading hierarchies?

  if so, does this have to do with that person's true belief or is it ingrained into them that they have to have their beliefs or god's word filtered down to them through a chain of command?

  It's all really simple when you break it down.
  They become JW's then get disfellowshippped.
  Then become Catholics to get excommunicated and then join the Amish so that they can be shunned by the rest of any family thats left.

  i say this because i have been helped so much by the many posts that represent the way i feel about the wtbts.

  it is good to know that there are so many people that feel this way.

  i am currently inactive and dont comment but do attend meetings for the sake of the family.. my wife is still in and i have a daughter and one on the way.
