  the bible shows two opposing gods.

  personally, i believe god is love and the angry god of fear is an imposter.

  Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

  
  
  Notice in the quote from Matthew of what Jesus emphasized. Love. He coulda quoted scripture of fear God and give him glory, but he instead concentrated on the single most important aspect of our relationship with God and others and that is the love we have and show.

  Sherri Shepard EXJW On "The View"

  i am watching this program....and sherri shepard just said she was raised as a jw and how strict their beliefs were.

  she was asked what jws believe---and she answered that they teach that when jesus comes back to destroy the earth, that only jws will be allowed to live on the new earth that will be made.. she also said how she hated going out on saturday mornings to knock on doors, and that it was tough when her father got disassociated (she had to stop and explain what that meant) and that she could no longer talk to him.. a lot of women (who are at home :o) watch this show.....and i am applauding her saying this so all who are watching this will hear these two points and remeber them the next time jws call at their houses!.

  facts that only jws will be saved when jesus comes back---and jws told not to speak to those who leave or are kicked out of the religion.....two great points to be aired like this on national tv!.

  I know this is almost a year old thread but after reading it thought I would ask if anyone ever found the video on youtube or any other place of where Sherri talked about being raised a JW on the TV show the view.
  If anyone has it or knows the site could you post a link to the site.
  
  I've been reading about many other interviews with Sherri were she talked about her upbringing as a JW but would really like to see this particular video.

  There is at least one scripture in the bible that would appear to support what the psychologist are asserting with regards to fear/Love which I've often thought about over the years:
  1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love, but perfect love throws fear outside, because fear exercises a restraint. Indeed, he that is under fear has not been made perfect in love." (NWT)
  
  This is what made me start questioning many things that previously I wouldn't.
  If something is the truth it will stand up under the most intense scrutiny. We should have no fear to ask questions and look for answers.

  Waiting for my judicial meeting - or not

  not sure if so many are still on here, i am feeling kinda lost.

  anyway, saturday came and went and tuesday came and went and no judicial meeting with me.

  the elders just sort of avoided me and didn't let me comment at the wt.

  I'm right the oposite to Yknot.
  I would never cry and give them the satisfaction of seeing you grovel at their feet and making them think your life is so shallow and meaningless without the Org.
  But to each their own . You are ultimately the one who has to make the decision and live with the consequences. I have more integrity and self-worth than to let someone judge me by their self-righteous standards. They don't want to talk to me, good riddance.
  

  My suggestion in short term for now tho is immediately go out and start making friends and acquaintances with others outside the org. If you have any family (cousins,aunts,uncles etc.) that are not in Org then try to get to know them better as well. AS they say hope for the best but prepare for the worst. From this point on try to be your own person and experience life to the full.

  another point that might be sort of related: when we used to call unbap pubs "approved associates", and they were dealt with judicially to the point of no longer being approved associates, the cong was to treat them essentially like they were dfed.

  that's the way it was at the time i'm referring to.

  i'm glad that arrangement has changed!.

  Purple the info you are seeking is in the Organized to Accomplish our Ministy book pages 148-149. Under sub-heading "Nonbaptized associates who are wrongdoers"
  I don't have a scanner or i would scan it for ya but i will type word for word what it says at end or paragraph. Hopefully someone else can scan it for ya or you find online. This book was copyright in 1983
  
  NONBAPTIZED ASSOCIATES WHO ARE WRONGDOERS
  

  "If a nonbaptized wrongdoer is still unrepentant after a judicial committee has met with him and tried to help him, then it becomes necessary to inform the congregation. A brief announcement is made that the person is no longer recognized as an approved associate. (1 Cor. 15:33) The congregation will then view the wrongdoer as they would view one who has been disfellowshipped. No field servive reports would be accepted from such a person."

  let me know thru your studies who do you think the king of the north is?.

  russia or china i'm guessing but that would be a logical choice.. this is my opinion but i think with the united states getting involved in territories that are under control of russia and china is reaching a boiling point and eventually somone is gonna say i have had it i'm not taking this anymore.. i read this also that in a chinese proverb they have a sayin "kill the chicken to frighten the monkey" the chinese beleive the attack on iraq was the chicken and they are the monkey.. now i'm hearing they are or may blockade iran.

  if this happens it could be the final straw but maybe not but i think very soon we will see the knig of the north rise up in defiance to the united states.. let me know what you think please!.

  After much insults cast at both of them from the King of the middle (U.S.A.) the two Kings will meet in the land of the middle and start to play tug of war with the inhabitants within.
  
  After a period of many months both the Kings will realize that the inhabitants of the Texas region of the middle not only like to play tug of war but also to hop and skip,play fetch, hop scotch, play and watch King of the hill.
  
  Immediately after coming to this realization of the Texans and determining that this is indeed G.W. Bush country,both kings start to appologize to each other and say you take it over. Shortly thereafter they begin offering each other much gold and treasures beyond compare and throwing large parties in each others honor thinking what a close call that was for each of them, knowing full well that whoever would have taken over Texas ran the risk of their country topling by getting some of Bush's lineage in their national boundaries.

  A@G I think most have already headed over to amama's site at JWsupportforum.com
  It has a lot of info at bottom...not only active topics that are easliy linked but also a stats button at bottom that tells you who posted most and where..
  you can also see where all your friends are on the site at any time and see what they curremtly comenting on..(topic) or what topic they are reading...kinda neat
  a lot of bells and whisltes that blew mw away...and wait till you see the karma thing...good clean post and people give you good karma...bad post people give you bad karma...helps weed out any trolls or trouble makers..
  
  But I know a few have accounts at more than one site ,so I will have to check out JWR as well.
