  B B Q Etiquette

  bbq rules .

  we are about to enter the bbq season.

  therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity .

  I agree with most of that summary of a typical BBQ but with two exceptions:

  (5)

  THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.

  (why should he have to do this since the woman has already brought it out to him? Let her place it on there.)

  (8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN. (Once again an inefficient use of time and energy. Having to handle it twice. Where as if he woulda just

  let her do her job and get it in the first place, dinner would be on the table faster. His job is too important to screw up. He must

  have proper oversight over the woman and make sure she does it all right.)

  I can sure tell in this example that this "man" didn't go to the Kingdom hall because if he had, he would know his proper

  role in the headship arrangement, that of being over the woman and having to dictate and regulate everything to them.

  It's a tough job the man has but somebody has to do it.

  And according to the bible we men got nominated to that task whether we want it or not.

  Time to say 'Goodbye' for a while . . .

  works piling up and i've got a ton of stuff to do - some of it might even be fun!

  i've been posting at jwd/n for more than eight years and i'm sure i'll keep on doing it but from time to time it's useful to take a few months out.

  clear your head, waste time in the garden instead of at a laptop, drink a little wine, dance with your daughter, laugh at the dog - you get the idea.

  I so understand where you are coming from. It's coming up on the summer months here in the states and I too will

  be spending less time online. Hope to be doing similar things as you already mentioned such as BBQ's, working outside,

  as well going to the lake with some friends, hiking and camping

  This is coming up on my favorite time of year. I've never been one that enjoyed the cold winters. I'm much more a

  warm weather creature. I guess if not for being a JW when i was young, I would've probably turned out to be a

  Beach Bum or a surfer.

  i came upon this video purely by accident.. while watching another video this one came up at end as sorta like a similar related story.. ever since we swapped over from jwd to jwn i can't get links to work in firefox so if anyone can make the link.

  clickable i would sure appreciate it.. even better would be if someone can embed the video into this thread so others can just see it here.. .

  and i'm not laughing at the runway model in the video...its the newscasters that are hillarious trying to get their.

  beks I'm glad to know that in some small way I helped to bring a smile into your life.

  I guess its true what they say about laughter being the best medicine.

  No matter how bad my day may go, if someone can make me laugh it puts everything back into perspective.

  Then I realize that life isn't as bad as it seemed, that life goes on, that the world will still turn tomorrow etc.

  All from just a simple laugh.

  beks I went back and was reading some of the comments on the webpage that the video appeared on and one of them

  stated that it was channel 4 out of Washington,D.C.

  I'm not sure if thats accurate but maybe someone on here might recognize them and can confirm or deny it.

  John Doe those are some funny vids you posted as well.

  Makes me wonder what goes on in all those news rooms around the world every day. I'm sure there's more footage

  just screaming to make its way onto the net.

  Hi. Just popping in with an observation Id like to share and any feedback Thanx.

  i really havent been on here in a while, but recently a coworker, who i respect, told me of an "incident" that happened that i really cant explain..so for the hel lof it ..thought id share :).

  for clarity here some background on my friend/coworker:he is a siek indian, the type that wear a turbin/bushy beard, very sensitive as to being "brown" in an agressive way ie: not the type to take any crap from anyone..., very smart, anyways he is about to get married now, but, 3 yrs ago in his dorm room at the university of windsor in ont canada his roommate left for the evening.

  he takes a shower, then goes to the mirror to shave and says from the corner of his eye he sees a flash of "something" go by him very quckly/ faintly.

  This always happens to others and not me. Why?

  For years I've been telling people if they find any ghosts or demons to please send them my way. I've spent over 42

  years on this planet and still haven't seen a ghost,demon, alien ( I mean real aliens not illegals sneaking over the boarder)

  I even went to a couple of supposedly "real" haunted houses that a few of my friends dared me to go into.

  And after careful analysis, my over whelming conclusion was that they were full of crap not ghosts.

  But getting back to the original post of the thread, why was it a "black man" ?

  Why not white,Oriental, native american, Arabic, Indian etc. etc.?

  Do you think he's been watching Cops, Americas most wanted or something similar and has images of a black man

  coming for him? It's amazing how the mind works on what its fed.

  Just my two cents worth. Might not have anything to do with whats going on in his life.

  P.S. Tell him if the disappearing "black man" shows up again to try and engage him in conversation. If he can get him

  to talk ask him if he needs work. I could put a disappearing black man to work tomorrow around here. I could use him

  on some of my investigations into the bizarre, strange and supernatural.

  IQ

  when i was younger i remerber i was tested in school and my iq score was 98. a wile back i google iq and one site listed what iq score of 98 was only good fore working in wall-mart.

  so i decided to retake the test on line and cane out with a score of 105 which put me in a higher work cadory, service tech etc.

  now i sleep a lot better at night knowing i will not have to spend the rest of my life working in wall-mart..

  Ok I can only assume this is a joke of some sort to test us out about IQ's

  In the opening post I count no less than five misspelled words:

  1)remerber instead of remember

  2)wile instead of while

  3)fore instead of for

  4)Wall-Mart instead of Walmart

  5)cane instead of came

  and the one that really has me guessing is cadory (I can only hope you meant category)
