  biblically speaking, god has many names.

  marvin t. wilson, author of the book "yhwh in the bible, divine titles, names and attributes will be the guest on the telephone conference call "in search of truth" this coming saturday sept.12,2009 to discuss this subject.

  since jehovah's witnesses insist on using what they say is the only name for god, jehovah, they may surprised to hear what marvin's research has discovered.

  interesting...a couple of publishes were talking about a local Russelte that they met out in service reently. The conclusion was that the present-day Russelites are just running on vapors and have frozen in time, too stubborn to make "necessary changes."

  thanks,LL. I'll see what I can find. It's one of those things; last week thy came for the Polish guy three doors down, and I kept quiet. Two days ago they came for the Jew next door, and I kept quiet. Tomorrow they're coming for me and there aren't any good neighbors left.

  I'm with Mr OOmpa...I need to be able to compare what I'm LEARNING with what I already KNOW. But Jehovah already knows that. Maybe there is a special place in His mercy for people like OOmpa and me.

  my jw in laws send us these types of emails every once in a while .

  never is there any real personal correspondence from them and it irritates me.

  i have sent emails back before critiquing the logic of some of their emails.. i will be sending a response to this latest one ,and i would appreciate some ideas .. i know many of you on this forum are so excellant with your words i would enjoy your input .. the first thing that came to my mind after i read the illustration was "i am so glad i am no longer on the endless tread mill of witness logic that has you running forever from scary imaginary spirit beings ".

  it started with the comparison of "porneia" (all sexual practices outside of marriage) being a ploy of satan, as a "lure" that a fisherman uses to catch "fish.

  " all kinds of comments were made regarding internet porn, adultery, oral sex, etc, all being a device designed to trap jehovah's people, resulting in thier spiritual demise.

  i still have commenting priveleges, so i felt it necessary to mention live bait also having a "hook.

  .I tend to agree with that for the most part, but the romantic in me refuses to accept it completely

  ditto that, UC.

  Nath, I have fairly good radar and I do sense at least some of the depth of affection that others may (or may not) have for each other. The really good ones have sorted out the fluff and gotten down to substance, but that can only really be done with the passage of time. And of course our bodies may be headed the opposite direction.
