The Apostles left everything...jobs, family, homeland, to follow Jesus. They would be considered cult members by Dr. Phil and most of the world. Eventually the nut cases will make it hard on all of us who desire freedom of religion.

The face you see is just the puppet, the real bosses are in the shadows. The older I get, the more I realize, It's all a dog and pony show ( lots of fluff and tons of crap ). If your hope of a brighter future is in any man, other than yourself, your in trouble. This nation was built on the principle that a strong man makes a strong family, a stong family makes a better community, a better community makes a better state and on up the line. The people who look to the politicians to do it for us are lost and lazy. Left or right, pressure from individuals makes government move. Sitting and watching after you cast your vote is like making a bet. A person might as well cross their fingers. I'm not saying Obama is bad and McCain is good or vice-versa. All I'm saying is don't defend them when the're wrong. Stay active after you elect them. Watch what they do, read the laws they pass, call your congressman, call your senator. Jimmy Quillen ( congressman in Tn a few years ago ) told me he veiwed one letter from a citizen as the opinion of 2,500 or more people. When someone wrote him a letter he read it and took it to heart. David Davis ( current congressman TN ) opposed Bush when people of his district demanded it. Too many people look at politics as a spectator sport, time will lead those type into bondage everytime. I sicerely hope I didn't offend anyone, but if I did maybe you needed it.

Do any of you know of a source that claims the royal family to believe that they are the literal decendants of Jesus by a secret marriage to Mary Magdalene? When I heard this the source claimed that's why they believe themselves to have devine right to the throne.

So Cain was thinking for himself, but whose cause did he serve? Now let's skip a few hundred other similar cases and go to Harod. When he was murdering all those babies in order to kill the prophesied King, whose purpose was he serving? God is sovereign, He can punish whom He wishes. Satan is a murderer and a deceiver, his whole purpose is to make God seem unfair. He started in the garden when he entered the serpent and beguiled Eve (it wasn't an apple on a tree, it was the pair under the tree). Satan put a yolk of false religion on many necks and then blamed it on God when He gave the wisdom to see through the charade. Satan sits back and laughs as God receives the blame for what he has done. By presenting a false religion he makes a false god, then he receives the worship intended for God. Then when someone wakes up from the nightmare they get bitter and blame God for the whole thing and satan laughs.

Charles Shultz was a devout Christian. He was a member of the "Full Gospel Businessman's Association". He also followed the teaching of William Marrion Branham. William Branham was known for correcting false docrine and pulled many converts from the J.W.'s, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Lutherns, ect. His teaching was so dynamic that some fanatics started cults based loosely on his doctrines. This brought undeserved reproach on his work and hindered his ministry. Mr. Shultz was known for putting little quotes of William Branham in his comics.

What is your family's favorite Christmas tradition?
by LovesDubs ini was a methodist for the first 30 years of my life, a jw in the middle 13 and then from 1997 have returned to my christmas roots, albeit with a different perspective about what "religion" means to me.
but christmas is a big package which to me extends beyond the birth of jesus.
ive had to re-start, and invent new, traditions for my kids and i as we are alone down here in florida most christmases, and all our relatives who are down here are jws.

A few days before Christmas we visit Dollywood ( a theme park in pigeon forge TN ). They have shows and lights, hot chocolate, ect. My wife loves it, she dawns a childlike excitement at Christmas that is very endearing.
