Dinosaurs

being brought up a j.w no one ever gave an accurate description of why the dinosaurs where actually put on the earth by jehovah.

When I was a kid, one night a dinosaur looked in my bedroom window. Maybe after millions of years of evolution they learned enough to hide from full grown humans!

i never believed a word of any of it !.

raised a j.w from birth, i'd sit in the meetings and at conventions wondering what the hell it was all about and that it was all one big joke and imagine that they''d all suddenly turn around laughing and pointing at me !!

saying something like "haha the joke's on you".

Confusion, pain, remorse, seperation from loved ones, false teaching, hypocritical false autority, lies, misenterpritation, deception, ect, ect, ect. I can't tell you how happy I am that you have found freedom! I have found you can't have a counterfeit dollar without having a real one first. J.W. is as far from the true God as you can get (even though its religious appearance falsely represents Him). It kept you from the true living God all your life, please don't let the bitterness it planted in you keep you from Him now. You have all our love, support and prayers!

i just read another thread about the co changes and plans for upcoming persectution.

i can speak for america and say that out constitution is based on religious freedom-this is the same constitution the society hides behind in all of their 'champion' court cases where they defend their right to go in the door to door ministry.

this country is sooooo far from turning against any religion, that we are even allowing terrorist religions to remain as long as they don't act against anyone (please no thread hijacking about that : ).. how in god's name do the jw's think the government is going to turn against religion and start persecuting them, and armagedon is to follow -right 'around the corner'????.

Many cults use fear to control people, but perfect love casts out fear. Control freaks have always used government or religious institutions to control people. But Jesus isn't comming for fear and hate mongers, He's comming for his friends. I believe you don't have to worry about something once you have given it away. So if I give my life away by loving and caring for others and just wait on the Lord, they can't control me with their dark and gloomy fear smear. Armagedon is for them, not me. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

I didn't mean to preach please forgive me. I just hate to see people contolled by other people and that's what they try to do in a lot of churches (not all) and cults. They also try to physically seperate people from the "world" in order to conrtol them. Anyone can go door to door with a speech and catch an occasional sucker, but a daily life lived without hypocracy will tell me more than anything. Anything that can't stand up to reasonable questions from a sincere heart can't be much. I think that's why they witch hunt for anything that will keep the chickens out of the yard and in the coup. Keep them afraid and bunched up. We are in the world (physically) but not of the world (spiritually).

Phobic about churches

i am reading releasing the bonds at the moment and yet again steve hassan has brought to my attention a phobia i didn't even realise i had.

entering a church.

i remember on a couple of occasions being with jw's who refused point blank to enter a church even when they had cause to do so.

Fear is sometimes a defence mechanism for self preservation. I'm sure any programing you've recieved could cause this reaction to happen. In the martial arts you practice repetative motions so that when needed you can draw from your training experience without having to think about it. Maybe this is a little like that....?

In Gen. 1:5 God called the light day. I quess "daylight" is all they (the plants) needed.

Gen 1;3-5= sun Gen 1:14-19= sun, moon, stars in their proper place.

Perfect Love

let me run this by you all and see what you think.

it seems to me that every individual has their own ideas about everything from religion to politics.

these ideas are formed and shaped by many things ( station in life, parents, social background, education, ect.).

You don't sound harsh or mean. I appreciate your input. My ability to express myself properly in written word is somewhat feeble. I agree with your point of veiw. The kind of people I'm talking about are the type who have an unpleasant disposition or just rub me the wrong way. I love to be challenged by an opposing point of veiw though. What I'm saying is when I can live what I believe it sort of makes my point for me (concerning faith), plus reaping the rewards of returned kindness has served to make me a happier person in general.

Thanks to all for your input. There are really some great folks on here.
