Lisa ann, Thank you for your input. I try to take care not to "push" my beliefs on anyone else. Just a side note I thought you might find intresting though: I work in a hospital. Over the years I have personally wittnessed several patients brought back to life after losing their vital signs. I would have marked their experiences up to psycology if it weren't for one man who had the state of mind to bring back proof. While "out of his body" he memorized the information (manufacturer, serial number, model number,and the fact it was dusty) on the top of the surgical light in the operating room. I had to get a ladder to confirm what he told me. He was right in every detail. He also had another experiance of a religious nature that I couldn't confirm. Now I know ,to you, this is just another story but I thought you should no why I believe we continue after.

A "Christian" is a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, indwelled with His actual Spirit. Belonging to an organized religion has absolutely nothing to do with being a Christian. The only thing in the scripture that might make a person think they have to join a religion or cult is the command to not forsake the gathering of yourselves together. The only preacher you are commanded to recieve is one that follows Christ. And only then if he remains in agreement with the scriptures. It is very difficult, at best, to find a real Christian anymore. Let alone, a good solid scriptural church....I'm sorry, I'm starting to rant. Please forgive me.

it would seem that god's punishment for these two was a once off affair, as there were christians who were involved in much worse (consider man lying with his father's wife, apostates - yet none of these received the same fate).

Why would you want to take the J.W. slant on the scripture? They just used the scripture and perverted it's meaning to control their people. What they have to say about the Holy Ghost or anything else should be questioned. The scripture is not of any private interpretation.

There is one thing for sure, one of these days will be the last one (as we know it now). When the last one comes, collectively or individually, only the truth will stand. All opinion will end and if we still posess awareness, and I believe we will, we will know for sure what waits on the other side of death's door. The Christians that were fed to the lions already know.

i believe the charges were dropped.
and the vast majority of people polled thought that police should worry less about prostitutes and johns and more about city government waste.. your thoughts?.

by wha happened? inthere was a wt quote about the number of christians killed by nero.
these reason i bring this up is it kinda kills the 144k number.

I've found that most of the hurtful and twisted cults base the foundation of their religion on obscure or isolated scriptures that have many possible interpritations. They then ignore the obvious stuff that runs thematically through the whole Bible.

Newborn, You can know. I was at the same point in my life once. I tried to find out if there was truely ANYTHING real concerning the supernatural or God. There have been organizations, false prophets, false teaching, ect. between you and what your looking for. God said that if you seek Him you will find Him. This is either truth or fantasy. I sought Him through scripture and prayer. I would pray a little, then read a little, always open to hear what He had to say. Soon, things that are nothing short of supernatural began to take place. I have had some thunder and lightning experiences, but mostly he comes in that still small voice. I believe you are sincere. If this is true be patient and he will reveal Himself to you. I have had my own personal encounter and filling of the Holy Ghost. Now I've come to a place where no one could ever convince me otherwise. You can find out for yourself. I'll be praying for you.
