So Cain was thinking for himself, but whose cause did he serve? Now let's skip a few hundred other similar cases and go to Harod. When he was murdering all those babies in order to kill the prophesied King, whose purpose was he serving? God is sovereign, He can punish whom He wishes. Satan is a murderer and a deceiver, his whole purpose is to make God seem unfair. He started in the garden when he entered the serpent and beguiled Eve (it wasn't an apple on a tree, it was the pair under the tree). Satan put a yolk of false religion on many necks and then blamed it on God when He gave the wisdom to see through the charade. Satan sits back and laughs as God receives the blame for what he has done. By presenting a false religion he makes a false god, then he receives the worship intended for God. Then when someone wakes up from the nightmare they get bitter and blame God for the whole thing and satan laughs.

Charles Shultz was a devout Christian. He was a member of the "Full Gospel Businessman's Association". He also followed the teaching of William Marrion Branham. William Branham was known for correcting false docrine and pulled many converts from the J.W.'s, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Lutherns, ect. His teaching was so dynamic that some fanatics started cults based loosely on his doctrines. This brought undeserved reproach on his work and hindered his ministry. Mr. Shultz was known for putting little quotes of William Branham in his comics.

What is your family's favorite Christmas tradition?
by LovesDubs ini was a methodist for the first 30 years of my life, a jw in the middle 13 and then from 1997 have returned to my christmas roots, albeit with a different perspective about what "religion" means to me.
but christmas is a big package which to me extends beyond the birth of jesus.
ive had to re-start, and invent new, traditions for my kids and i as we are alone down here in florida most christmases, and all our relatives who are down here are jws.

A few days before Christmas we visit Dollywood ( a theme park in pigeon forge TN ). They have shows and lights, hot chocolate, ect. My wife loves it, she dawns a childlike excitement at Christmas that is very endearing.

As of tomorrow I will no longer be a JW
by passwordprotected inafter my last post where i asked for advice on how to handle whether i should tell an elder that we've been going to church, i decided to tell a local elder who's related to me through marriage.
this was to save my dad having to 'report' me (i'd told my dad we go to church).
anyway, i had an interesting chat with him and he said some very personally revealing things re.

Mark, God bless you Brother for your stand. You chose God's Word over man's organization and He will bless you for it. They are the true apostates and you owe them nothing. According to the scripture you are the head of your home ( in love under Christ, of course ) and they have no right to address your wife. The book of Jude explains who these men are and you are not facing their flesh, it is the spirit behind their false teaching your showdown is with. God will be glorified through the stand you make. Our prayers are with you. Remember, don't play by their rules, live by God's Word. I'm praying a double portion of God's Holy Ghost Power on your life!

2 Peter 1: 19-21 explains how prophesy is not of any private interpretation. When it comes to pass, it becomes evident not only what it means, but that it is accurate as well. Much of the prophesy in the Bible was fulfilled in later scriptures ( "a virgin shall consceive", ect ). The religious people of Jesus' time were expecting a king that would deliver them from the tirany of Rome, instead the got a carpenter. Their interpretation was wrong, not the prophesy. This is easy to see in retrospect. For a more up to date example you need only to look at the prophesies concerning Israel. No other country or people have ever been scattered throughout the world, into nearly every culture, for two thousand years only to return to their homeland, form a recognized government, and become a world power. Not only this, but they even revived their original language which had been considered a dead language for centuries. All of this was prophesied in the Bible. The founders and propigators of the J.W. organization, not to mention many other false religions and cults, will be judged for their false teaching and false prophesy. Read the book of Jude ( one page ) to see where they fall.

My smart son and his response to his grandma! re: no more book study
by Texasgurl inmy son, who is 17, saw my mother while out in service on saturday and was shocked at the way she acted.
he said she smiled and jumped out of the car, gave him a big hug and looked at the others in the car and said how much she loved him.
needless to say, he was not fooled by her complete fake attitude and the show she put on for everyone.

Texasgurl, Welcome aboard! God bless you for getting your children outa that cultic mind and soul warping trap. Their devotion is to a false religious organization and yours is to your family and REAL love. I hope you find happy days and real love all the rest of your life.

What holiday is your favorite?
by gaiagirl ini really enjoy halloween.
the air is crisper and cooler, a relief from the hot summer.
the season is a celebration of the harvest, as the earth has once more provided her bounty which the people store up to last through the winter until spring.. .

New Years Eve! My favorite memory from new years eve was when I was in the 8th grade and I came home from a basketball game to find my childhood crush babysitting my three year old brother. After he went to sleep, we watched CHIPS on tv and danced the new year in drinking homemade punch out of a big german stien. Simple, innocent, best party of my life. C.M. I still love you, wherever you are!

I went to Sedona AZ and loved it! Small, laid back, stunning in beauty. It's not far from Phoenix. When I flew back home I had to go to Phoenix to catch my flight. I didn't care for it. It was dirty, and seemed to have all the bad qualities of a big city. Sorry, I don't mean to put it down, it was just such a stark contrast to Sedona and the Canyon.

Any "Born Again" Christians here?
by sacolton inwould like to see how many have accepted jesus christ as the only way, truth and life..

The prescription for a born again experience is in the book of Acts ( ch. 2 verse 38 ). If you believe what Peter preached and obey the scripture then you can claim the promise that comes with it. Acts 2:38 is also the fullfillment of Matthew 28:19. This answers the question of the trinity as well. Jesus said "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME ( not names, plural ) of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:". Three persons is three personalities. God is not three different persons, He is one person manifested in three ways. When Peter called Jesus "my Lord and my God" , Jesus gave him the keys to the kingdom. That key is the revelation of Acts 2:38. Since the counsel of Nicaea held in 325 A.D. the catholic church and all it's offshoots have baptizesd in the TITLES of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Nowhere in the scripture was anyone baptized in this way and it was not the way the early church did it. Paul even re-baptized people who were not baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Feelings are different for everyone, but if you ignor feelings and trust in God's word you will stand. Feelings change but God's Word does not.

Violence always escalates. You have two choices, 1- stay, 2-leave. You will probably not fare well if you fight because it is his social responsibility to prove he is the strongest. You may win a battle but then he will bring you a war. This is a situation where you have to bring attention to the situation if you are going to stay. Visit your districts city counselman or county commisioner's office. Write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper describing your treatment at this office. If the police get enough heat from above they will pressure this guy out of the neighborhood. Go to local government meetings and when they ask for new buisness speak up. Shine as much light on the situation as possible. Roaches run from the light and no drug dealer, or user, wants attention.
