  Even if/when d-2-d resumes...

  What's the energy and enthusiasm level going to be?
  

  The JW 'ministry' was seriously flagging on its own...BEFORE COVID...

  Literature carts grabbed a market share for JWs interested in getting their hours in via a new lower-effort method.

  Give them all months and months off from proselytizing directly....

  Is there gonna be a huge rush of JWs back into neighborhoods, knocking on doors, trying to engage religious discussion?

  I think any effort to resume will fizzle.

  It's just too easy not to do it, and now they all know it...

  fist of all my first language is not english so i apologise for any mistakes.i am 17 my whole family is jw.i am so sick of this i cry all the time i wasted my teen years doing nothing, no friends, no parties, no going out, no fun.i am scared for my life because if i tell them they will kick me out, i have no money to move out.i am curentlly studying the bible with my mom just because i am scared to tell her that i dont want to.please help me with some advice im begging.my life depends on this......

  Money is just a tool to facilitate trade.
  
  But, now....consider the power to issue it...to be the recipient and beneficiary of it, without any outlay of product or service...
  
  Now THIS is power. This is power enough to fight and kill for.

  We are becoming less a society of 'live-and-let-live', and increasingly one of 'rule-or-BE-ruled'. Thus, the desperate grasps for power, or else be dominated by rivals and enemies. My observations...

  Nevertheless, persistent increases in Memorial Partakers is a good sign.

  It's a clear example of the WT leadership not being able to get the troops in line.

  I don't know if it's a case of JWs being too dense to 'get the message' about partaking...

  Or maybe these folks just don't GAF about earning the WTs approval on this matter.

  Either way, I suspect that if these numbers don't get in line, the Tower will either have to start directly falsifying them, or stop reporting them, entirely.

  At this point, these partakers should be clocking in at ~25% (IMO) of where they are now.

  Have you seen Steven Lett on JW Broadcasting.

  Yes. Of course, as all despots they desire to be the exceptions to the rules.

  I don't know how a JW could comfortably show him and JW Broadcasting to a 'worldly person' and not be embarrassed. This religion they are supposed to advertise has become something to hide.

  Is it possible for any Country to have “Reasonable” Gun Laws? What would they be?

  so the new biden/harris gun policies are starting to appear.

  it’s not clear yet, what they will be.. some suggestions; confiscate all guns.------buyback programs in each state.. there is much talk on social media that if this happens, the pandemic, + all the riots, + all the damaged property, + all the annual murders in america, - put together-will be like a sunday afternoon picnic, compared to all the deaths and property damage that will result because of “civil uprising” by millions of 2nd amendments advocates and just plain gun lovers.

  so remember how assembling together is a command and no man or government can stop us, even if it means going 'underground', even if means being arrested, jailed, beat....can't stop us from assembling together----until covid.

  now it's "false regligion" fighting for their constitutional right to meet together while the jws seem to be perefectly happy zooming their lives away..

  I am having a hard time imagining the WT Society being content with this current JW meeting arrangement,

  So much control is exerted laterally - one JW behaves because of another JW.

  I think they lose a lot of that without real meetings.

  Without all that control....what's left of this 'religion', anyways?

  They need the Covid scare to subside so JWs can re-connect with other JWs before 'worldly' folks fill the void...
