Magic, or rather ILLUSION, goes hand in hand with both religion and politics. Illusion is how all of these things operate and connect. Illusion is how people are controlled and are made subservient.
I believe "mage" is the root word of Armageddon and I think it carries the meaning of the word as well.
Armageddon is thought to be the climax or end result of the Apocalypse.
Apocalypse has been said to be "the lifting of the veil" "revealing what has been hidden". We all know that magicians work with a "hidden hand" and a "veil of distraction".
The implications of Meggido, as being a battleground where many decisions were made, could also fit the scenerio.
When everything has been exposed as to how these charades have been played on humanity, people will have a major decision to make. Will they continue to go with the flow because they:
1. refuse to investigate further when confronted with controversy
2. accept tradition and the way things are because it is easier
3.choose to believe the lies because fantasy is comforting
OR will people:
1. Take a stand and speak up to expose the lies
2. choose to severe ties with affiliations that mislead
3. give up dependency on authorities to "parent them"?
I think many people find it to be a "safety net" of sorts to allow someone else to tell them what they can and cannot do. It's a part of ritual to have someone else making the plans for you and designing how you will spend your time. One does not have to do any deep thinking or reasoning. This may be why they easily give their power away to others.
Stepping out to become autonomous would be the road less traveled. There is no "safety net" and the system we are living under is not really designed to support this type of lifestyle.
