"There's really no good reason why we should turn our time in late"
by Crisis of Conscience inanother wonderful part this week at the meeting.
and this is what the brother said.. he related examples, based on the om book, as to how jehovah kept records.
funny part is, they all applied to population, the amount of people.. is there any part of the bible that talks about how jehovah kept a log of hours on some occasion?

A lawyer was cited for CRIMINAL contempt of court because he did not say the Pledge of Allegiance. He stood up but was silent. Apparently he had done this before and the judge was put out with him. The judge told him to "Give thanks for your freedom, son, or go to jail." He went to jail.
Lawyer Jailed by Chancellor for Failing to Recite Pledge of Allegiance
BE IT REMEMBERED, this date, the Court having ordered all present in the courtroom to stand and recite the Pledge of Allegience, and having found that Danny Lampley, Attorney at Law, failed and refused to do so, finds said Danny Lampley to be in criminal contempt of court.
IT IS FURTHER ORDED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED, that Danny Lampley shall purge himself of said criminal contempt by complying with the order of this Court by standing and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in open court.

Unforgivable Sin vs the Parable of the Prodigal Son
by sabastious inmatt 12: 31, 32: 31and so i tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven.
32anyone who speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the holy spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.. ^ speaking against the holy spirit is unforgivable.. luke 15: 20-24: 20so he got up and went to his father.
"but while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.. 21"the son said to him, 'father, i have sinned against heaven and against you.

In the dictionary, you will find the word "blaspheme" only defined in religious context. For some, it may mean being irreverent toward "holy icons"...material things. For some it is speaking ill of the deities. But if you go deeper into the etymology, you will find it's root is "blame".
blame vb. XII. — OF. bla(s)mer (mod. blámer) = Pr. blasmar, Sp. lastimar :- popL. blastemare for ecclL. blasphemare revile, reproach (see BLASPHEME).
So blame sb. XIII. — (O)F. blame, f. the vb.It could be that people blame the Creator for what has actually been done by man himself, and often done in the name of "God". I do not equate the god of the bible with the Creator.
________________
"sinning against the spirit" is not the same thing. This is a different subject. As I said before the Spirit is within you. "Sinning" against it is going against what your conscience tells you is right. Often this happens when you succumb to peer pressure or dictates of man, or sometimes even deliberately when your ego is involved. You absolutely do know when you are "going against your better judgement".

They already know your thoughts.
They have been reading your posts, following your internet trails, tapping your phone, and using x-ray to see through your car and your house. There is no where to hide. They will be using thermal imaging scan to find you.

I suppose it is a basic doctrine....but what does it really mean?
Most christians use that as an excuse to "sin as they please" because they are forgiven in advance. This "saved by someone else being murdered" is a horrible teaching. First of all...what are you being saved from? Accountability of your wrongdoing? What does that make Jesus...a scapegoat sacrifice?
Human sacrifice, blood drinking.....those are some pretty evil concepts if you ask me.

serenity: then those sins are forgiven by the blood of jesus christ.
That is a phrase contrived by man and is nonsense.

what is the unforgiveable sin? What does speaking against the holy spirit mean?
Grieving the holy spirit means going against your conscience.
The holy spirit is not something separate from you. It is within you. The holy spirit is the spirit of truth.
You have never needed some religion to tell you what is right or wrong---it has always been an innate part of you; it's your conscience.
What is "unforgiveable" about it is that you will not be able to forgive yourself later when you go against your conscience.
When you shunned a loved one in past because you were compelled to do so through the cult dictates, wasn't there even a twinge of feeling that it was not right? Later, when you came to understand that you were mislead and controlled, did you ever stop to consider how your actions may have affected the lives of others, those who were shunned who had loved you? Did you stop to consider how life could have been different and better for everyone if the cult had not been in charge of your lives?
Sometimes we can try to make up for the wrong and hurt we have caused others. That's what the prodigal son attempted to do. But the years of loss cannot be gained back and the heartaches to ourselves and others is the "unforgiveable" grief we will always carry....even if we do make amends.
