Is Jehovah just a wicked spirit?
by Rooster ini think the watchtower bible & trick society's god is just a wicked spirit.
jehovah is not the name of the true god!

Rooster,
I think you are right. 100% right.
I think satan was real. As a matter of fact the bible talks about planet rahab which was supposed to be his domain. Of course satan is real. He was the leader of the watcher angels who were left in charge of helping us. But they took advantage of man's innocence and ignorance.
The scriptures say "let us make man in our image". That shows that it was at least a joint effort, if not a team effort. I tend to think it was team effort of scientists representative of another civilization. So if our Creators were plural, why do we worship a singular deity???
I think this singular deity is something else and not our creator, just as you said.
If you look at the attributes of jehovah, it's a pretty mean spirit.

Crazy Religion

The Watchtower religion is based on Abraham, is it not? Islam, Juadism, and Christianity is all based on Abraham. Abraham comes from the root word "Brahamin" and Brahamin is a Hindu priest. Could this have some connection to sacred cows and the sacrifice of cows and the reverence to the golden calf?
The christian and Jewish religion teaches that in the end times the Temple of Solomon will be rebuilt. There is supposed to be a cow sacrifice on the altar. The christians believe this will be the "abomination of desolation" because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. Does the Watchtower religion believe this too?
Here is some recent information about the special cow sacrifice. Now they need what amounts to a child sacrifice; children to be raised in isolation for 13 years in order to compete for the honor of being the rabbinical priest to handle the sacred cow. Please tell me what you all make of this???
Late last week, on the eve of the Shabbat in week the Torah portion Hukkat is read, in which the red heifer is mentioned, it became clear that the people associated with the Temple Institute, who for 25 years have been researching the Temple and its rituals, creating vessels for future use in the Temple and maintaining contact with scientists and research institutes worldwide, believe they have cracked the genetic code that will make it possible to clone a red heifer.…
…[A]ccording to halakha the red heifer can only be handled by priests who themselves are in a state of purity.
Because there are no ashes of a red heifer with which to purify priests, the only solution would be to find priestly families who are willing to give up their children immediately after their birth for a special mission: to have them raised and prepared in conditions of isolation and purity for at least 13 years, so that they can handle the next red heifer, if and when it returns.…http://failedmessiah.typepad.com/failed_messiahcom/2008/07/red-heifer-gene.html
If Watchtower religion is also based on Abraham, doesn't that mean that it believes in the ancient sacred cow, too?

new in aposto-land
by cameo-d inhello.. i landed here because of a magazine i found in lobby and wanted to ask question.
i am reading some here now.
i am interested in talking about bible scriptures and i hope it will be ok to do that here because i think a lot of people here are still digging for what is really true.. i want to tell you all some of what i am seeing.

No, I am not believeing that jehovah's have the truth. What I am finding in reading this board is that many people here are still searching and are digging deeper to find out what's true. I don't see that so much with the protestant religions.
What I am seeing here as I read more is a rebelliousness...and this is good because it shows you question what you have been told. What's more than that is that you all are allowed to SAY it here. The christian boards will not tolerate any questioning of certain doctrine. You have a freedom here of saying its bullshit if you don't believe what the church teaches.
Try asking if communion is from ancient cannibalistic rituals over there and you would probably get killed in the fray. But I think I could probably say that here and maybe even get some reasonable information.
As far as the Zen board, I think religions will soon come to that. Islam-Judaism-christian are all based on Abraham. The root word Abraham comes from Brahamin. And Brahamin is a Hindu priest.
The christians have a belief that the temple of solomon will be rebuilt in the last days "before the end can come". But actually the temple has already been rebuilt but it has not been announced in christendom yet. It is in India. It is called the Temple of Oneness. That's why I think they are going to start teaching this Jesus in India thing. That's why I wondered if this information had ever been brought out in your religion.
If you go to their website they have information on all religions and even the jehovah witness is included. I think it has been set up and actually manipulated to correspond with the scriptures in Revelation where it talks about the eternal city where god is worshipped day and night and it is lit up by eternal light.
This temple is on a large acreage and it is called The Golden City. The Temple is not ornate at all. It is just a structure with floors and ceiling and archways. The "temple" will be made up of the worshippers. In their program they say that worshippers will be allowed in four shifts. Each shift will be 8,000 people. The "eternal lighting" is holographic orbs of light. Earlier this year they had a special ceremony and supposedly annointed the 144,000 to go out.
I think there is some spooky stuff going on. What would happen if your religion started teaching some of this? Do you think its possible?

Man's freedom of choice,, is it really free?
by hot mama ini started wondering what others thought about this topic.
if armegeddon did come and if there are people who survive and grow to perfection, how can we be sure that everyone would continue to be obedient?
mankind is given the ability to choose how he will act , so what i'm asking is this i guess,, if it did'nt work with adam and eve, then how could it possibly work in the supposedly new system?will we still have freedom of choice?

I don't understand how anybody could believe there will ever be world peace. If there were only three or four or even eight people in the beginning and even they couldn't get along...how could you expect millions to "suddenly" get along and live in peace?

Hello.
I landed here because of a magazine I found in lobby and wanted to ask question. I am reading some here now. I am interested in talking about bible scriptures and I hope it will be OK to do that here because I think a lot of people here are still digging for what is really true.
I want to tell you all some of what I am seeing. I have been reading some of the "christian boards" and Iwant to tell you some of what I see going on. First of all, I am not a church goer. On the "christian" boards I looked at some make you sign a statement that you are a christian before you can join. I won't do that. Some require that you state your denomination. It just seems very elitist to me. Maybe you all are cliquish too. I dont know yet.
Anyway, off and on I have read some different boards. One thing I have seen very very strong in the past 6 months is that people are getting kicked off by the administration for talking about the scripture "get out of her my people" becuase many people are starting to see strange changes in doctrine and teaching in the christian churches. Some people are making a racket and voluntarily leaving the boards because they are not allowed to say anything negative about the new changes and the "get out of her" in referring to thechurch.
Some of the churches that used to talk about the rapture are changing their tune. They are talking about armageddon survivors restoring the earth. This is new. This is what the jehovahs talk about. The thing is, they are leaving Jesus out of it, so it seems, because this is a man-made project. Man will restore the earth. Has nothing to do with god or jesus.
Some of my friends are now into this essene thing. They are talking about the new enlightenment from these scrolls. Some are even making a play on words like Krist=Krishna.
Some of the new teachings they are starting to talk about are the "lost years" of Jesus and that he went to India. And that's why there is some connection. I don't know if they are trying to say jesus was Krishna in another incarnation or what.
Anyway, some weird stuff going on in christian churches now and many people are leaving.
It makes me think of that scripture about how the apostacy has to come before "the end". I think the apostacy is that people are realizing they have been duped and misled. The smart ones are the ones getting out. But thing is, they are going to be calling those people the anti-christ for not going along with the church BS.
Does your religion teach that Jesus went to India? Some of the new info out is that Jesus was buried in India and they have found his grave.
Anyway, can I ask my questions here?

King James actually made a few changes in that direction.
His motive was "the divine right of kings" in that he believed kings had no responsibility to answer to the people; kings were god's chosen.
If you had a bad king it was because god felt you deserved it.
I have read some interesting info concerning changes that King James directly made to scripture. And that obey laws of land was from his dictates.
It is becoming more apparent that much of the bible has indeed been manipulated by transcribers through the years. There is much info on the net concerning those things.

Picketing
by MAHERSHALALHASHBAZ inwhatever happened to this long lost activity?
i can remember a time when you couldn't make it from the convention doors to your car without being approached by at least one glassy-eyed apostate holding a sign or thrusting a homemade tract under your nose.
ahhhh, those were the days...

I am afraid to see any of you people picket.
I am afraid, with the way laws have changed and are changing everyday, that it might be considered a Terrorist activity. All it takes is one person to throw something or to shove!
Not only that, but with the way religious antagonism is heating up, they will start calling YOU the anti-christ...and next thing you know, you're on a yellow bus headed for a fema detention camp.

Some of you are really funny and I did not expect the silly answers but I enjoyed a laugh or two. Like rub a dub and maher!
Hamsterbait, you have been turned over to a reprobate mind. I hope you get deleted.
Darklighter, your answer is intriguing. I am curious to know, did you find these answers on your own after leaving the cult, or are some of these details part of the JW bible studies?
I am glad that some of you are interested in exploring scriptural topics in depth.
And Narki. Narki, narki, you seem to be going off on a tangent and headed off the cliff. I think you are missing the point. Look at the meaning of the words!
This in particular:
"god" tells cain to "be still". To be patient; that he will rule over Abel.
Could this be something more than just a big brother/eldest thing?
And have you thought about how did Cain "not rightly divide"?

Do you have any memory at all of what happened while you "were away"?
Do you remember anything in the very beginning...like a buzzing in the ears? A feeling of nausea? Do you recall anyone asking you questions only to realize you were answering them back with your mind and you actually had "no connection" with a speaking voice?
Do you recall "seeing" and being able to describe people in your room and what they were doing...and yet it was at a time you were "unconscious"?
Have you asked to see your hospital records? (Sometimes there will be "pages missing")
Was your coma less than 3 days?
You do know that this is why people have wakes, don't you? There have been stories of people who were buried alive. That was one of my fears after my NDE experience. I could not understand what had happened to me. I was not familiar with the term NDE. It drove me nuts for awhile trying to understand what had happened. I read a story about a child buried in mausoleum who crawled out of her coffin. Years later when the mausoleum was opened to entomb another family member they found the girl at the door and scratch marks on the inside of the door. Also, they now make special coffins with bells and whistles for people who fear being buried alive. Don't think it would be too much help if they drain your blood for embalming.
I did see in records that I flatlined. Don't know how long I was gone. I was "brought back" with just an instant of eye fluttering and then slipped into coma.
I do have vivid recall of all that I experienced "beyond". I was in a place of darkness (would not call it a tunnel because I would have been claustrophobic.) It was vast dark openess. I was weightless, like when you float on water. No sensation of hot or cold. Very quiet.
I saw small light on horizon. As I drifted closer it burst into rays..brilliant blue-white light. I was called back...someone at bedside kept calling my name.
