Cult classic: Given the law and all that David did in his life, Jehovah must have reeeaaallly loved him.
Isn't there some scripture that says God is no respecter of persons, that he does not pick favorites, that the sun shines on the good as well as the evil ones? So how does anyone justify that god has favorites that can get away with murder? Any scriptures to back up that god's favorites are "above the law"?
agonus: "Jehovah forgives David and Bathsheba but won't let us hold fucking hands during prayer..."
If you behave like a child by obeying them and whining about it, then you obviously need their parental guidance until you can learn to stand up to for yourself and reason for yourself. Why don't you ask permission and see how old you have to be before "they let you".

friggin: "the walking begins."
Did you know that the "Jehovah Witness Walk" is in the Urban Dictionary?
JEHOVAH WITNESS WALK
Slow, purposeful type of walk from a person who needs something from you in a hurry, like a work project.
I could tell that Mrs. Perez needs her work scanned in---the paper she's holding and Jehovah's Witness walk tell me that without my asking. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Jehovah%27s%20Witness%20walk

Enslavement: The Voluntary Slave Class
by cameo-d inhuman farming...using humans as commerce; owning other humans.
it's very easy to see an analogy of religions, governments, and corporations involved in treating each other like commerce.. this has existed even since ancient egypt and still exists today----why?.
this world seems to be an oppressive repetition of villans, pirates, slave masters, and religious guru's that shake down and fleece the flocks.

This has existed even since ancient Egypt and still exists today----why?
This world seems to be an oppressive repetition of villans, pirates, slave masters, and religious guru's that shake down and fleece the flocks. It's continual. They sheer the sheep while minimally feeding them.

Armageddon has come and gone. All the JWs were safe in their tomb-like Halls. It's PARTY TIME now.
Without any pagans to admonish, no more literature to hand out....do you think the JWs will miss it? What will be their new mission?
Will they just hang out and party for awhile? What will the JWs do for entertainment and to occupy themselves now?

Staying "Loyal" and King David/Saul Question...
by Confucious inok.... had a good discussion with a jdub friend.
good friend.. and i gave the argument, "hey.., loyalty to god trumps loyalty to organization.".
basically, that when your concious disagrees with "god's organization" that you should stand up and say something.. then he gave me a good point about king david and how saul was the organization at the time but since it was god's appointed one - that david didn't work to "overthrow" saul.. thoughts?.

Essan: "But Saul was God's chosen representative. The Society isn't."
First of all, you are confusing "god" with your true Creator. God is an entity created by man. Even the bible scriptures show you that gods are many.
If Saul was "God's chosen representative" then this 'god' was most probably a cabal of leaders or a headship of such.
David did not recognize nor acknowledge Saul as having any spiritual authority over him. David did not capitulate to Saul's dictates.
If you remember he refused to eat the (spiritual) food served at Saul's table. Although the scriptures may use the allusion that David did not eat meat at the King's table, this is actually a thinly disguised metaphor meaning that the "meat" or "heart" of Saul's philosophies, morals, dictates were not in line with David's being true to his own conscience. This is why David refused to partake of the "table" of Saul.
David set himself apart from whatever evil and erroneous teachings that Saul promoted.
