  In 2008, candy was found with metal shavings and metal blades embedded in it. The candy was Pokémon Valentine's Daylollipops purchased from a Dollar General store in Polk County, Florida. The candy was determined to have been manufactured in China and not tampered with within the United States. The lollipops were pulled from the shelves after a mother reported a blade in her child's lollipop and after several more lollipops with metal shavings in them were confiscated from a local elementary school.   In 2008, some cold medicine was discovered in cases of Smarties that were handed out to children in Ontario, Canada. [5]

  I think some places offer to "x-ray" the candy. This might be a good idea before letting your kids eat from what they have collected.

  Thanks watersprout. It's helpful to understand the reasons behind the behavior. It took him a few weeks to even look at me. He always kept his head turned and would not make eye contact. What does that mean?

  How sad. I would venture to say that most people who "become" JWs through door to door are people who are caught at a time of distress and sorrow. Especially if they have lost a loved one. The WT seems to peg people who are emotionally vunerable and need "comfort". It's a "right time-right place" kind of marketing.

  uk schools doing ufo crash drills..... the latest ufo drill took place wed, sept 29, at sandford primary school in the uk.

  the kids were treated to a full ufo crash scenario that included wreckage, police tape, and real police officers.

  (perhaps it was only lacking men from the government telling the children not to talk about what was seen.).

  CoCo...

  You gotta check this out! It looks like an air freshener...but it's not. It puts out some kind of chemicals to stone your dog. It's being advertised for "behaviorial problems" to calm them down!

  Can you imagine the implications here??? What if "they" have been using mind altering chemicals for humans in benign products like this? Just curious....do they use plug in air fresheners at the KH?

  Yes, EoM, that's right. There is a dark cabal running the WT and you are all deluded if you think it's the GB. This "dark cabal" is probably the unseen and unnamed entity they refer to as the "FDS". Scientology was born from mind control experiments at Stanford. There is probably much more to WT than you realize.

  The 10-second clip of a woman singing the song "Au Clair de la Lune" taken from a so-called phonautogram was recently discovered by Grammy-winning audio historian David Giovannoni.

  The recording predates Thomas Edison's "Mary had a little lamb" — previously credited as the oldest recorded voice — by 17 years.

  The sound waves were captured using a phonautograph, a device created by a Parisian inventor, Edouard-Leon Scott de Martinville, that captured a visual record of sound.

  The phonautograph etched sound waves into paper covered in soot created by a burning oil lamp. Lines were etched into the soot by a needle moved by a diaphragm on the device that responded to sound.

  Giovannoni and his research partner, Patrick Feaster, began looking for phonautograms last year. In December they discovered two of Scott's — from 1857 and 1859 — while searching the French patent office.

  well then, i suppose as we are facing the 100th anniversay of jesus return in 1914, there sure must be the usual rumors going on in the cong.. for those in touch with jw: what have you heard so far?

  is it a bit like pre-1975 with high expectations?.

  They will prolly just pick a group of new young board members who will say "Jesus told us to tell you...." so instead of the FDS, it will be replaced by these new vicars.

  And to keep things going they will promote the green agenda from the green man. It sounds christ-y enough. Instead of door knocking, JWs will go out to pick up the litter from all the magazines they passed out.

  ...Weird Ass Lights in the Sky...

  good evening jwn!!...

  as most of you know i live in a forest,in the mountains..at night there is very little light pollution... so the sky is one big theatre screen... i see shooting stars,northern lights,satellites,planes on a destination..it`s all very beautiful... tonight was different... .

  tonight there was something in the sky that defied anything i`ve ever seen... it had multiple aircraft lights but not like regular airplane lights..it wasn`t a helicopter... it could go straight up or down... move in one direction then head in another..it could do all kinds of weird stuff... sometimes it just hovered..then start doing all these weird maneuvers... regular aircraft is going somewhere,it`s headed in a direction..not this thing... i watched a regular airplane pass it... .

  Cool that your mom showed you this thread. It seems you really have an interest in sky things. Are you into aviation or a UFO buff? I just posted a thread that might interest you about UFO crash drills at schools in the UK. Have you heard of this before?

  The latest “UFO drill” took place Wed, Sept 29, at Sandford Primary School in the UK. The kids were treated to a full UFO crash scenario that included wreckage, police tape, and real police officers. (Perhaps it was only lacking men from the government telling the children not to talk about what was seen.)

  What’s interesting is that “police were on hand to show the children how to properly investigate the UFO crash site.” Um, were any of the officers speaking from experience?

  Are UFO drills becoming something of a routine part of the curriculum in the UK? It’s certainly becoming more and more of a common event. Each time, it’s a joint exercise put in place by the school and local law enforcement.

  A similar drill took place in Feb of 2009 when Lanchester Endowed Parochial Primary, in County Durham, staged a surprise “crash” behind the school. In Sept 2008 “children from an Edgware school were made to believe aliens had landed in their playground by teachers and police.” Again, each time it was conducted by the school system and police — teaching children what to do in event of a UFO event. Afterward, the kids are asked to write about their experience.
