"i absolutely 100% believe in god, jesus christ and everything recorded in the bible.. the reason why is because of the overwhelming amount of evidence.. there is so much evidence that it has taken me years to examine what has cemented my own convictions.".

bible describes atheism as a condition of the heart and is all about seeking what is ephemeral, not acting with insight.
(psalm 14:1, 2) thus it rightly says the whole world is lying in the attraction of what is ephemeral.
(wicked one is not a correct translation.1 john 5:19) thus even believers who pray to god (for material blessings) are actually atheists as they are not trying to be poor in spirit.
"If you had read the last paragraph of the article, you would not made such comments. Concluding paragraph actually speaks against recruitment. I am copying the last para for you here:" - ex
I really apolog.....Wait!!!!!
Your only complain is that I didn't read the last paragraph? Really!!!
Is not like a cult needs to recruit and operate using deception. Wait, they use deception as a recruiting tool.
I know that you didn't affirm or deny your affiliation with http://www.jagatgururampalji.org/. Yet, you didn't clarify your stand either. In addition, that nut job and you have a few things in common. But hey, it's not like you needed to hide the truth from me until you though I was ready to accept it. That will be another cult tactic.

"not all violence and strife is fuelled by religion." - kate
That's true, but many conflict arise from religion. Internal and external conflicts are recorded throughout history. The most rampant is between religions or external conflict. An example of this is the jihad wherein Muslims believe that they have been waging a holy war to fight for their faith against the Christians.
Religion is the primary source of our values and our values basically reflect our identity. When this part our identity gets threatened we usually feel an impulse to protect or fight for it. At its worst case sometimes even through violence. In their Encyclopedia of Wars, authors Charles Phillips and Alan Axelrod attempt a comprehensive listing of wars in history. They document 1763 wars overall, of which 123 (7%) have been classified to involve a religious conflict.

Recruitment methods
Set up a team
Other members should also be encouraged to recruit new members whenever they can. Recruiters should be well trained to persuade people to join.
Gather necessary resources for recruitment
Time recruitment well
Recruitment can happen at any time and should be an ongoing part of your work. But it is an especially good time when you are:
- Doing a membership drive
- Running a campaign on a topical issue.
If you want to recruit through other organisations and sectors, make a list of all the Target key people for recruitment.
Your organisation will also need additional skills and talents and may want to target specific individuals for recruitment. You could also target someone who has influence over others and will be able to popularise your organisations. Make a list of key individuals in your community that you would like to have as members and go and visit them individually.
Door-to-door
Identify a target area in your community and sent recruiters from door-to-door to discuss your organisation and to try and persuade people to join.
Information tables
Tables staffed by recruiters can be set up in public places like shops, sport events and taxi or bus ranks. You should always have a table at all your own meetings or public events. Make posters and decorate the table so that it attracts attention.
Meetings and Advertising
Advertise in local papers and community radio that you are looking for members. Invite them to a public meeting or provide a contact person for them to approach. You can also send letters to individuals or use pamphlets to encourage people to join your organization.

Now I know what's going on. You are fucking crazy and you are trying to recruit people into your fucking cult.

will never be peace even under god's rule.. i think god realize he have created a mess and said screw this .
and have left us on our own.. each day there is another crisis, what's next.... there is no solution to bring harmony among mankind, hell.

War sucks ick. All the icks, in fact. It cuts lives short, tears whole families apart, and it always seems to bring out the absolute worst in humanity. And it's being happening for a very, very long time.
I didn't pointed the 8% to get you depressed. I mentioned it because war is something that's being happening "forever". And I don't think it will change. While some scholars see warfare as an inescapable and integral aspect of human nature, others argue that it is only inevitable under certain socio-cultural or ecological circumstances which, in my opinion, means is human nature. Common causes of war conflicts are competition for resources, religion, unification/autonomy.
We are humans, If we see something that we like/need, we are going to ask for it nicely. If others comply, everything will be fine. If others don't comply, we will take it, by any means.
But it's not just us, chimpanzee go to war for some of the same reasons we do.

i believe in god but i'm not sure of anything....what about you?.
There is no evidence to back up the existence of a god, any god.
Plenty of evidence subject that religion is bad and a destructive force in human history and in the world.

"If the world feels like a more violent place than it actually is, that's because there's more information about wars -- not more wars themselves." Overall, we're in the midst of an unheard of "long peace," as no major powers have clashed since World War II. - Professor Joshua Goldstein

I don't know about god(s).
The Lessons of History, they concluded: "In the last 3,421 years of recorded history only 268 have seen no war" (p. 81).
That amounts to nearly 13 years of war for every year without war.
War is defined as an active conflict that has claimed more than 1,000 lives.
Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history.
