  Removed and Dissolved?

  in the past i've heard of whole bodies of elders being removed/df'd and entire congregations being dissolved.

  anyone know any verifiable account of this happening - details please!.

  Real Reasons Some Go to Bethel

  i've known known a lot of bethelites and it never ceased to amaze me when asked why they wanted to go there the kind of answers i got.

  some included:.

  my mom used to have dinner ready for me every night when when i was pioneering before i got married.

  30 seconds or less?

  shortly before i stopped going to meetings the bible highlights part had changed to include comments from the audience of "30 seconds or less.

  " it never ceases to surprise me that with all the meetings i used to go to, i learned very little of the bible, but more of how we as jws were supposed to live.

  when the bh part was changed, it only got worse.

  Yearbook gift disguised as request for money

  i admit it, i used to love reading the yearbook.

  when i got one i would have it read in about 3 days.

  so imagine my joy when a bethelite asked me if i would like him to send me a copy before they were released to the general population of jws.

  Show your blood card and get a ....?

  i am trying to remember for what reason i had to show my blood card at a dc in the early 90's.

  the only reason it sticks out to me is i remember the comment being made from the podium that many of the cards of jws were not in fact signed, and therefore would not offer "protection.

  " the fact that some jws did not have their card signed is of interest to me too (after all, why bother having it if you don't sign it?

  i've been on this board for less than a week and now l learn that is closing.

  i came here to heal.

  hearing experiences from others that show that it wasn't all in my head, that i was gaslighted by jw's has helped.

  bad experiences with C.O.s?

  i am still trying to recover from an experience that i had with a c.o.

  reading other discussions has helped me to start getting other bad experiences into a better perspective and since the experience with the c.o.

  was really the final straw i was hoping that reading that i am not alone would help me in moving on.
