Kosonen. That first experience sounds very much like the experiences of those who suffer from Temporal Lobe Psychosis. It's an interesting subject to research as it explains the physical, cerebral origins of hyper-religiosity. That is a clinical term and is not meant to be offensive.

Newly "annointed"...
by lurk3r inthese ones who are in the organization that are "newly" annointed, it would seem they are kinda screwing things up for the gb and the society.
heard of what "spiritual" experience these ones go through, to have them identify themselves as such?
do all the "144,00" go through similar experiences.

No. Because I came to the realization that God/s were creations of the human imagination.

Why do we say " I believe in evolution"?
by Anti-Christ ini hear this and read this a lot, "i don't believe in evolution" or " this person does not believe in evolution".
when we say this we a perpetuating the myth that evolution is a belief, when in reality it is a fact.
we should say " this person does not accept evolution as a fact".

You cannot prove evolution in a few lines but I was making the distinction between evolution in general and what you called "stuff that promotes evolution" which I assume are articles dealing with specific aspects or examples of evolution. If you want to bring up engineering why would our skeletons look like a compromise in design. Our feet could have been completely re-engineered into something like a hoof to be less fragile and more efficient but instead it bears an uncanny resemblance to a chimpanzees' foot-hand. Where is the "Intelligence" in making a foot with five shriveled up finger like appendages and useless fingernails(excuse me toenails) at that which bear a resemblance to a now dysfunctional/vestigial claw? I could go on and on but this is my last post allowable.

"Whenever I read stuff that promotes evolution, it is always loaded with words like: seems, perhaps, maybe, imagine, and so forth. Hardly the stuff of science"
Actually Mad-Dawg, that is the language of science. It has to be very tentative until they've proven all the details several times over. The fact of evolution in general is proven but the details such as how creature X evolved into creature Y may still be hazy. And it will remain so because it takes a long time for the few scientists that dedicate themselves to these tasks to finish.

"I generally keep out of the atheism threads so go easy on me!"
Not so easy chalam, evolution comes in different flavors including Deistic and Theistic evolution you should know that by now. As to "believe" it is a matter of semantics. People can believe in facts or non-facts. Here is one fact that your creationist belief has to address, Whales have vestigial hip bones which implies that they were either terrestrial creatures at one time or that Yahweh was drunk when he created them.

Who knows of an Annointed one getting Disfellowshipped?
by annalice inok ,so if new annointed ones can still come about , who here has ever heard of any annointed ones in their congregation or surrounding congregations getting disfellowshipped or simply fading out of the organization.
thus allowing some new annointed one to take their place?.
and if someone says "hey i am annointed" do they have to check with bethal who then checks a list or something to see if there is a annointed one somewhere in the world who just got d'fd?.

"When she came back she once again took the emblems and claimed anointed status."
Under the replacement theory whoever had replaced her while she was df'd would have to be unreplaced or demoted back to Great Crowd status once she rejoins.

Talked with Old High School buddy after 30 years - I apologized
by flipper inthis was something i was wanting to do for a long time .
i knew this friend as far back as elementary school, we played tennis together in high school , played music and sang together in his band a little.
a very nice guy who i was close to until age 19. but because of my jehovah's witness upbringing it changed at 19.. long story short, although my witness parents allowed me to associate with this friend and other non-witness friends, in 1979, my then fanatic witness fiance laid the law down to me that we could not have any non-witness friends at our wedding.

WILL THERE EVER BE A JW REVOLUTION?
by african GB Member inis there a possibility for jw's turning against the gb, perhaps by boycotting the "meetings" and fs?.
in my opinion, i think we could be heading for something to that "effect"..... i have heard several "brothers" in my cong talking about the "need" to adapt to the ever changing world..... .
are they gonna go mainstream and avoid a possible revolt?.

They are too weak minded to do such a thing regardless of the issues involved.

"Has anyone heard of what 'spiritual' experience these ones go through, to have them identify themselves as such?"
I knew a member of the anointed who was in the post 1935 group. I kept egging him to give me an explanation as to what an anointed felt when he was anointed. He finally mentioned that he was in tune with certain things such as the earth rotating beneath his feet. That reminded me of when I was a (non JW) child and used to have the same fantasy.
