it has been recently proved ( as far as i'm concerned) that paradise the jw view of it isn't coming.
scriptual evidence is so thin as to be non exsistent.

We could be hit by a ten mile wide comet or asteroid tomorrow and it still won't fullfil Bible prophecy. Bottom line we're living in a godless universe where things just happen and when they do people just try to spin meaning out of it. If we are to liberate ourselves we have to make our own Paradise and prevent our own "Armageddon".

2. when you left, did you still (a) fully believe in the truthtm, (b) partially believe or (c) realise it was all a load of crap?.

2. Partially believed while my JC was in progress but soon realized it was a load of crap.
3. It's still a load of crap and it stinks worse and worse as every year goes by.
4. No fear of Armageddon.
5. Atheist intellectually, Pantheist, a la Carl Sagan, at heart.

You might want to translate that for those who don't know Spanish. Personally, I'm skeptical of that even though I realize that their shortage of men is acute. If I had heard that when I was disfellowshipped decades ago I whould have made a snide remark like "What next? Lesbian POs?" But who knows? me and my wife just got this great book from the library entitled 'i'm perfect you're doomed:tales from a jehovah's witness upbringing' writtin by kyria abrahams (an ex-jw).
i'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned or read it (it's still fairly new), but it is a great book.
for anyone who was raised in the 'troof' or group up in it you will find it very interesting.
Sticky notes can be removed. I would write it out on the inside front cover.

I had a similar experience with a member of the anointed. He was a pet supply salesman and one of his customers had a ranch with all sorts of odd creatures. The anointed brother basically said that he was going to take over that ranch after armageddon. It took some time for me to realize that, being anointed, he should have been in heaven after Armageddon and not on earth riding on camels.
What really irritated me and finally got me out was the pathological self worship of the Society. Statements such as:
Every time you open up a watchtower it's like getting a letter from Jehovah.
Even if the Organization is wrong how dare you correct it! You're running ahead of Jehovah.
When you have any doubts about the Organization you should say what the disciples said "Lord whom are we going to go away to, you have the sayings of everlasting life."

last night he called at 2 am, woke my wife up, she answered the phone.
he was drunk, yelling and threatening to break into our house and physically harm me because i had his sorry ass thrown out for punching my stomach and destroyed our property while drunk on that day on july 8th.. she hit the flasher button (strobe light attached to a remote thingy that is activated by a remote button) and woke me up.
i go to her room and find her crying.

Bluegrass, one more thing I forgot. You said that if the NorthPole and South Pole were to melt it would flood the earth. You really need to do some very basic research on several subjects. The fact is, based on measurements of the South Poles and Greenland that ocean levels would rise about 260 feet which in no way would flood the earth. The North Pole melting-and surveillance satellites have shown that the North Pole has been melting rapidly-will have no affect on sea levels since it already floats on water.
