  Insane Email From My JW Mother

  she starts out with some banal stuff about where they want to move, etc, then, she launches into this:.

  that brings up something i wanted to tell you in person but itseems that i am not going to be able to do that very soon.

  i amhoping to throw some light on what has happened within our familyesp during the time we were over there.. it has become very apparent to us now that during that time period from early spring on, in 200[x], satan launched an all-out attack on our family, son.

  daniel-p, the marriage issue is interesting. I married a worldly and I regulary get questioned on how my marriage is doing.

  The questioning is in the form of "how is XYZ? Ok? Really? And you two and not having any issues in your marriage? That is so surprising given how long you are married. Every couple has issues. I am just so surprised. You can always tell me about anything. I am always here for you."

  This happens weekly and has for years.

  Now, given that she is a viper and out to break up my marriage, which I determined years ago, I wouldn't tell her if I were being poisened. I just wouldn't. I would figure it out and fix it on my own.

  She wants my marriage to fail so I can move in with her so she has someone to help her in her old age. Even me, a fader. She made that clear a few years ago.

  Creepy.

  The angry at Jehovah issue comes up regarding any family disagreement. Recently, a relative who was DFd started saying she was physically abused as a child. Now my Mom is saying my cousin is saying that because she is *Angry at Jehovah*.

  Again, they must learn that catch phrase somewhere and use it to blame the victim and take away the victims ability to point the finger at the perp. Angry at Jehovah. Arrrggghhh. I hate that phrase.

  daniel-p, I have been getting similar things lately and then they turned to Armageddon and how it is the last days.

  I finally, just last week, told my Mom she sounded insane. I finally did it. She is still speaking to me and told me she is buying a new HDTV. The irony that is obviously being lost on her.

  I had to tell her that the ranting like the e-mail I posted a few days ago, here on JWN, is nuts. I probably won't get any for a few months, but, I know they'll start again. She can't help herself.

  The eerie thing is the wording is very similar to the words your Mom is using. Very eerie. They really are brainwashed with this stuff.

  As LWT told me, hang in there.

  when i responded to highdose's thread earlier and mentioned skinny dip cologne, i really started to reminisce.. does anyone remember stuff like afro-sheen, ultrasheen, hoyt's cologne, royal crown hair dressing, avon's to a wild rose perfume, e. f. young, jr's pine tar shampoo, and jean nate' pour le bain?.

  also, mum deodorant, cashmere bouquet body powder, and camay soap.. those were my favorites during those times.. any takers?

  Camay was on my countertop until I couldn't find it in the stores--which was just a few years ago.

  My Mom sold Avon. She had samples all over the house. My dad used Vitalis on his hair. It was some greasy stuff to make it stay in place.

  as a jw, if you were one, did you truly believe that god would answer the prayer of a "worldly" individual only if he were praying: "dear god, i'm desperate!

  My answer was serious, BTW. Really.

  When I see a former amputee show up on any news show who said his/her prayer was answered I'll believe prayers.

  This assumes the amputee is a former amputee and they verify that they prayed for said limb.

  I don't consider all men "Pigs". Just my father and a few others I've known.

  i was afraid it would turn out to be a circus and i was very pleasantly surprised at how.

  dignified and honorable it turned out.. thanks to the jackson family for allowing many to see all the good things michael will be remembered for as well.

  I got a call from my JW Mom. She is very excited to be watching the Jacko Memorial. Told me it is the most important thing on TV. Ever.

  She told me I must watch it as it was showing all kinds of stuff never to be seen again.

  "Like what" I asked?

  "All kinds of things, I can't tell you I don't have time I don't want to miss any of it!! It's too important. He was the most important man ever."

  So, there you have it. An ardent, hard-core (thoughts, not gut) JW, telling me that Michael Jackson is the most important man ever.

  Jesus just lost his place in line.

  To Michael Jackson.

  Sad.

  Personally, being called a *retard* when young was no biggie. Being called stupid was worse. Retard, at least where I grew up, was a teasing term.

  Being called stupid was an outright insult.

  It seems in the last few years (decade), saying retard, retarded, etc., is derogatory. Who knew until one heard it on the news? Not I. But, I generally don't call adults retards. Nor children.

  My sister has called me far worse as a child and teen.

  There are so many terms that can be considered deragatory now; I just call people assholes. It seems all encompassing.
