we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.
why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?
it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.
Lurkers: Why do YOU hang around here and then never say anything? Why bother signing on in the first place? I especially direct this question at people who have been here a while and have only made as many posts here as you can count on one hand. I dare you to say something.

my story isn't very interesting.
i left as a teen, never baptised.
a plesant but distant relationship with my jw family.
JWs and money problems, like most "families" and money- a recipe for disaster.
I would go along with the advice to show your Dad as much love and kindness as you can. Try not to unleash any "A-P-O-S-T-A-T-E" stuff on him. JWs are programmed to let monetary loans to other JWs go. Even in a recession. If you talk apostate stuff, he may decide that the JWs are the better option and go back-you don't want that.
It is better to keep your options open and show him you are not an Evil Worldly and like most people he encounters--normal, loving, kind and will be there for him when he needs someone deperately to talk to who is not in the dubs and who he can trust. YOU.

i think some want to be witnesses even if they know some of the teachings and views are questionable because they feel special!.
if they get a "privilege" or are allowed to pioneer or allowed to preach from house to house and be "ministers", they feel like they are somebody.. what do you think?

there seems to be a lot of speculative jw confusion on this.
several jw "rules of thumb" seem to apply -.
1) - if you die "during a judgement period" - i.e., you died post 1914 after hearing the jw message, and did not accept it - you do not get a resurrection.... << but, i believe they qualified this to say that 20th century people (like in red china) that did not hear the jw message might come back >>.

Standard response any time I have debated this with any JW especially when in regards to family who knew the JW message, rejected it and yet, certain family insist they will be resurrected. I ask, how, how could Aunt Sally, who said the JWs were nut jobs be resurrected?
