i was one of the lucky ones (sarcasm).

my earliest childhood memories are tangled horribly with the sights and sounds a kingdom hall.

I always imagined Jehovah looking like a cross between every Elder and CO along with Jesus thrown in. Add to the mix my very old great-grandfather and there you go. One Fugly God. And he had a beard. Had to have a beard. Old, very old. Never, ever smiled. Always grim.

How Satan got to be like a serpent or similar creature and then the angels look, uh, angelic is pretty funny if you think about it. All a figment of someone's imagination.

i questioned my mom today about beth sarim.

she of course had never heard of it, even after 40 years as a jw.

Her standard response to anything New System related: "Jehovah will take care of us"

I stumped her on tooth brushing and flossing. How? She didn't have an answer. Even Jehovah hasn't figured that one out.

All the above suggestions are very good. The moment you hear "you must have misunderstood" step back and let it go for the moment. She's shutting down.

Try Steve Hassan's books on mind control and cults. Very helpful.

If God exists and ordered a Purge how would you react?

yet on the contrary, today is nothing like the alleged "days of noah" depicted in the bible.

the bible states that when armageddon comes it will fall upon unsuspecting victims exactly as it did in noah's day... our world proves this passage false and i will tell you why.. how many end times cults are there right now?

I don't want to live with a psycho ruler up in the sky who decides that *now* is the time to *purge* and just wipe out people.

That said, if he decides I get to live, will he let me pick who I want to purge? There are some people still alive I really, really don't like.

Ambien vs Temazepam

friend of mine out west told me his spouse has been having trouble staying asleep with ambien and now she has been prescribed temazepam which they said would make her sleep better and longer.

has anyone out here had those and what is the difference, and do you knjow if the temazepam really works or not?.

Isn't Ambien what that Kennedy dude (Patrick Kennedy) used when he slept walked, drove somewhere, crashed into a tree and blamed it on Ambien? He was a US Congressman at the time. I believe it is the *Ambien* defense if you do something really stupid in the middle of the night.

I like Lunesta. Lets me sleep for 5-7 hours when I need to. Not too groggy the next morning.

The "Ambien defense" is starting to rear its ugly head, thanks, in part, to Rep. Patrick Kennedy's nighttime excursion around Capitol Police barricades in Washington, DC. True to form, the Kennedy's dodged potential legal ramifications for their actions with clever lawyers and the novel notion that "the Ambien made him do it" as an excuse for getting behind the wheel of a 2,000 lb automobile and nearly mowing down a Capitol Police officer.

They Gotta Know They are Running a Cult - a Rant

i go back and forth on this one.

do the governing body members or some higher-ups behind the curtain of the wizard really know they are running a scam of a dangerous mind-control cult?

or are they victims of their own cult?

My sister is dying and extremely ill. I don't know if she'll ever leave the hospital and make it home. My Mom's response? To my openly Atheist, JW loathing sister:

"It's OK to die. You'll be resurrected and be perfect. You'll have a perfect body. Perfect face. Perfect hair. You'll be 35. Just think, you will be perfect and in the New System."

I ripped into my mom and told her in no uncertain terms she was a fucking idiot and no one is going to be resurrected and that anyone who believes that shit is a total, complete tool.

Her response? She was almost hysterical as she said it:

"I believe it. It's true. It's true. She will be 35 and perfect. She'll have perfect hair. Perfect teeth. Perfect body." She went into a Jehovah loves us, etc. rant. We got into a verbal battle.

So, first off, how did she come up with this age? Why 35. Why the focus on *Perfect hair, perfect teeth, perfect body*.

I know my mom has issues with this kind of stuff, however, this is overboard.

I told her if she mentioned this kind of stuff with me in the hospital room I will wrestle her to the ground and physically assualt her.

She has become a brain-dead drone for these fucking Wizards. If I saw them on the street I might run them over. The GB that is. I-Hate-Them.
