I hate what they did to my family. They being the collective group of Russel, Rutherford, Franz (the elder) and all the zealots who followed like sheep. And that includes all the past and current COs, POs, Elders, GBs, MSs, everyone in a position of power, including those 10 year-old boys who can make an adult woman put a napkin on her head when praying in his presence.

Rutherford got my great-grandparents. It trickled down to me.

I am convinced that there has to be an element of mental instability in the people recruited and the people who stay. Similar to Scientologists. Believe me, if you knew my relatives, the ones who are the most ardent JWs, you would agree. If you are honest, if you look deep into your own family and friends and read psychological profiles, you might admit that there is "something" there. Something nutz.

Just my layperson opinion.

As for hating *the WTS*; if a hijacker got on a plane, happened to fly it into the Brooklyn headquarters and every other place that they publish mags and books, I would not feel that saddness and horror I felt on 9-11-01 when the twin towers were hit.

One of the Governing Body had a stroke yesterday

on may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.

he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.

Why do bad things happen to good people?

I know a couple of people who have had strokes. I do not wish one on anyone; even one of the Sick Bastards who run the Witchtower.

And, yes, I do believe they are sick bastards. His is like the Emperor from Star Wars. They all are.

He is one of many who run a cult, under the guise of Religion. He is one of many who tells (commands in the name of Jehovah god) that your family and friends shun you if you decide this Religion (CULT) is no longer what you want to follow.

He is one of many who is running a corporation which is using tax free labor to publish toilet paper that seconds as magazines to get new recruits.

Do I feel sorry for him? Yes.

Do I care if he dies? NO

Good riddance to bad trash.

Stupid is as stupid does.

And, he was sober. Drunk and stupid I can understand. Sober and stupid, well, I said it above.

All he has proven is that, perhaps, IQ tests should be required before gun licenses are given out.

Also, villabolo, I was being sarcastic. I am really sorry your father did that. It is sad that someone would take a chance like that with a child or young person nearby.

I actually want to get a gun, what with the gun laws potentially changing. Hopefully I will never, ever, drunk or sober, feel the need to point it at anything I don't plan on hurting real bad. Including myself. I mean that sincerely.

I think they block it out because it is too embarrassing and painful. And, so many fell away over it. So many. JWs still in won't say that is why but they know exactly why.

As for me? I was hoping against hope it would happen so I could be perfect. I was imperfect in so many ways. Ways my mom pointed out day after day. I just knew that Jehovah would make me perfect. I could instantly become everything I wasn't; or what my mother wanted. Instead of the grand disappointment that was me.

It never occured to my childlike mind that billions of people would die when Armageddon would occur. I wasn't thinking in those terms. I was a kid and all I wanted was to be perfect.

My eyes were opened watching my mom lying on the bed crying and crying. No one from the hall came and checked on her. No one came and checked on us kids. My mom was not super popular and they just ignored us. I realized they were just a bunch of selfish, hateful SOBs. And god? He was a cold bastard to lead people on a wild goose chase.

My mom went back eventually and was later DFd for "Conduct Unbecoming a Christian". Then they were real interested in her personal life. Sick bastards.

So, 1975. I will never, ever forget that year. As many, many ex-JWs won't. And when dubs who are still in are confronted with it get defensive, you know they remember all too well.

I recall getting baptized because I told that if I were not, Jehovah might not see me as sincere and when Armageddon began (they kinda thought the Great Tribulation may have begun {like now}). So, I went and got dunked. I was way too young, didn't get any of the questions right when I was doing my study with guy who was doing it with me and yet, they allowed me to get baptized.

When the fall of 1975 rolled around the anticipation was palapable. People had gone on extravagent vacations. People with unbelieving spouses got divorces because why remain married to an unbeliever? You could immediately find a new, perfect mate in the New System. People sold businesses and quit jobs to full time pioneer.

The fall rolled into winter and NOTHING. Nothing happened. Christmas rolled into New Years. And still Nothing.

No one acknowledged this. No one. It was simply not talked about.

My Mother, who had divorced my dad in hopes of finding a newer, better model in the New System, fell into a great depression. She layed in bed for months unable to do the simplest tasks. She cried. And cried. And cried.

She wouldn't acknowledge it was because Armageddon didn't roll around, however, when I thought about it years later, it all fell into place. She was hoping and hoping so hard for Armageddon. Now I know why.

Now when I bring up 1975, she says I am totally wrong, it never occured and I must be insane. It is all apostate rantings!!!

No, I will never, ever forget those things that happened or the WT articles or the people that fell away as a result.

How did you REALLY feel when you where out in field service?

i never felt comfortable knocking on door and i hoped no one would be home.

my presentation was short and to the point because i did not want to get into discussions.

as we walked from "door to door" i secretly wished i could be like all the ones i saw in the nighborhood.

I hated going D-t-D.

Firstly, getting up on Saturday mornings, when all you wanted to do was sleep in, was tough. You knew you could if you claimed illness. Stomach ache was always a favorite. Going in the bathroom and heaving and making barfing sounds was good for a day off.

Secondly, thinking that I might see someone from school was always stressful. They knew we were dubs, yet, knowing that we might get a territory card for our area, not an area that was for another school district was especially stressful. You just don't want to see your classmates.

Thirdly, begging for money for the mags, on the few occations when someone did express interest was tough. My mom was furious if we didn't get the 10 cents per magazine that she had invested. This was a sale after all and as she explained, time after time, she wasn't a cash register to be giving them away when they were expired.

On the few occations we went on Sundays, after the meetings, it was even worse. Not only did we catch people after their Sunday church service, we had our whole day stuffed with JW stuff.

I despised going out in service.

All I wanted to do on Saturday was sleep in, eat breakfast, watch cartoons and sit in my pajamas. Very rarely got to do that. All kids should.

Now? That is what I do. I don't shower til noon. I get up at 9 AM, drink coffee, read the paper and I am determined to not do anything productive until I feel ready. Sad but true.

NEWSFLASH!!! in front of my subject, heh? I thought of it as I looked at the board and saw AfricanGBs posts. Damn!!

I know I am impatient, but, I can only post 10 times per day. Usually, that is not a problem. But, on those days when I can and want to post more often or someone responds to something I've posted, I can't respond because I've used my limit of 10 posts for the day.

Is there a time limit or a list of questions I have to answer before I may get 20 posts or even 25 per day?

I can't respond on this one because I just got this one (1) post allowed of my 10. I don't know when I'll be allowed to post again. My next one might not be for 5 minutes or it could be 20 minutes so I apologize in advance for not responding immediately. I do use *Edit* to let people know when I've used my last post.

feeling guilty already about being on here, the familiar words are recalled in my mind "don't go on any jehovah's witness websites except 'watchtower.org'!

so here i am, desperate for some help.

i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.

The questions asked by the Elders (Sick Bastards) in my Cong when someone was believed to have "Fornicated" were:

Did he touch your breasts?

Did he rub your nipples?

Did you enjoy it?

Did he touch your vagina?

Did he insert his fingers into your vagina?

How many fingers did he insert into your vagina?

Did he lick his fingers before inserting them into your vagina?

Did you enjoy him inserting his licked fingers into your vagina?

Did he lick your nipples?

Did he kiss you?

Did he kiss you with a French kiss?

Did he put his mouth on your vagina?

Did he insert his tongue into your vagina?

And on and on and on.

Now, if you want to answer questions only a rape Detective (Female) should be asking, go ahead, go and meet with the group of fat, bald, dirty old, white men.

If you value your dignity, self-worth, privacy and overall, the fact that they are infact not RAPE detectives, Don't Go. And tell them what I said above.

Just my opinion. My best friend and my sister were questioned by the Elders in our cong with those exact and worse questions. Then my mom. Then my aunt.
