a couple of times as i was talking with a member of the congregation, he rudely interrupted my conversation and took the person by the shoulder and walked away as if his conversation was more important.. once i was talking to my mom( who is very sick and has many ailments but still makes it to some meetings)and this self-righteous elder walks right in our conversation and makes a rude comment about me in front of my mom.. this was the actual coversation we had to show you how self-righteous he is:.

It is a form of manipulation. Elders use that so-called inward stare to make you feel like they are being informed about you by your actions. If you do not do as they say they treat you like a non entitiy. If they can't cajole you into being one fo their automatons they will try to bully you into being one. If you won't be bullied, then they try exclusion and ignoring you. It's all bs.

I know that of all the elders I have known only two have evver really seemed to like me. Whether I was doing well or not, they were consistently friendly. One of them died and the other left and became a Christian. The ones who gave my family a rough time in West sacramento have all been either removed or had to step down for some sort of wrong doing. I think that's just Kharma and not the Holy Spirit at work!

It is really bad on some. An old buddy of mine had it happen to him. He worked at wt farms and is now full of arthritis. They kicked him last year at age 56....I made a video to tell about what they are doing to the bethelites.

One way is how rank and files jw's are not supposed to say an oath or pledge of allegiance. But it's ok for wbts bigshots to pay allegiance to the country when applying for a passport so they can travel abroad. Nathan Knorr Oath of Allegiance

Another way is that saluting the flag is idol worship, but they call the Watchtower Society their flag and pay it unreserved loyalty.

Something I found useful

when i was mostly recovered from being a jw i found i was pretty angry and following from that, wanted to "save" my family that were still in.

i have a wonderful husband who is eminently logical and thoughtful, somewhat the opposite of me.

we used to have lengthy discussions about family and responsibility and suchlike.

That's an interesting view. I am also eager to share my new found light, but am finding a resistance to some subjects. When I think about it, my folks learned the truth according to the watchtower and we used to take long trips on weekends o they could share what they learned with the catholic and pentecostal factions of both sides of my family. Their efforts won us all a persona non grata stigma anywhere we went. I feel like as my family listens to the garbage I have uncovered in the wbts past, I will eventually be held at arm's length if I press too hard. I have decided to plant seeds and live my life and hope they see what I did.

I got it and saved the 376 mb file to disk. All I have now is a disk with the ISO on it. I cannot get any of the archive to open or even install to my hd. Any tips would be appreciated. The one I got last year worked really well. No idea what is wrong with this one or if I messed up myself.

If it were me I would have let them all live. I mean if I was almighty God why drown the poor critters? I would have been able to save them all and just make the bad people jump into the lakes and the sea to drown themselves.

i have my jw bible but also have the good news bible that was used at the lutheran church i went to for about 8 yrs back in the 80's.. one (jw)is hard to read and understand some of the books and the (good news)other is to easy and leaves somethings out, well the jw one does to.. .
