Confused and betrayed
by gimley inhi all on this forum.. i am very confused and lost and annoyed.. i was a jw for 28 years and then left not really believing and not really sure if there was a good or not, there was just to much hypocrisy in the kh and within the society.. dont be materalistic yet some pioneers seem to be able to have three cars and go on three holidays a year and somehow still make there hours.. the other point that really annoyed me was that my sister was treated like a criminal when she was dissfellowshipped which she was forced into, a elder would not stop coming to see her to convince her to come even if it was just for my parents, he said the only way this would stop is if she was to dissfellowship herself, now she was single living alone and saw no other choice but to do this.. so she was ignored and when she moved back to the scotland to get help with a wee one she had she did get help from my folks untill a elder reported them to the co and they had to stop.
now she was getting married so is no longer going to live in sin and my folks refused to go to the wedding as they would lose there position in the kh - despite that they decided to park outside the hotel so they could see my sister and kids go into the hotel and see them in there outfits, it is just wrong my sister was so hurt by this and her husband my best mate was so angry.
due to all that has happend over the year i dont know if i believe in god now,i would love to but i dont know how and whom do i trust.. .

Mouthy, you seem like such a lovely lady ...totally fiesty and yet so caring. Gimley....so many of us can relate and I am very sorry you're going through this right now. Try not to be too angry with your parents....their minds are controlled. Hopefully they will see that one day. Your sister is lucky to have YOU.

omigosh witness007....thank you for sharing. Well, I asked everyone to come to our house at 6p and the first couple was a bit late and the other folks were an hour and a 1/2 late (so we thought we might be in the same boat)! Glad I nixed the whole idea of getting him out of the house for awhile so upon his return, me and the first 2 guests could holler "SurrrrrrPrise!"....that woulda been lame. I needed help bringing in all the groceries beforehand, so I went ahead and told him. It really was a good tiime.
He's been faded about 2 years now, but still hasnt grasped the birthday party idea. And went he overlooked MY 30th birthday compLETELY....I took ya'lls advice from a different thread (my husband actually posted it stating that his wife was very upset because he didnt do anything for her...aka ME...bday) and threw HIM a party so he could see how it felt. Mission Accomplished. & he wasnt mad at all about those who didnt come, so its all good

Ok, I am seriously on the verge of crying, but I think I'll be ok. My first emotion is being totally pissed off, but the root is sadness. i threw my husband his first birthday party, a surprise at that. I contacted many of his non-jw friends, folks who said "hell yeAH! I'll be there!"...
it's his FIRST EVER birthday party, and it was his 25th....a BIGGIE. So why the f&*% didnt people show? I'll be honest...i'm somewhat of a perfectionist and want everything to go the way it's 'suppposed to go'....but IT DIDNT. When i had my 'FIRST' birthday party at the ripe old age of 21, it was amazing. I was surrounded by extended family, who I always rejected but who never rejected me. These are truly good people, but they f'ing said they were gonna come and DIDN'T. I'm PISSED.....but mainly hurt. I took a chance and asked two of his jw friends to come & one of them did. I am so thankful for those that did show up,yet i'm having a really hard time with those who said "you bet!" 'i'll be there"....and didnt show. That is just unpolitically correct. Its rude.
For any witnesses who are reading this....there are so many different types of people in this world. This is an isolated incident & I'm simply stating my emotions. Sh&t happens and I'm gonna just roll with these hurt feelings.
