  I was told I'd never graduate high school....

  I was told that college wasn't important at all and that I shouldn't go...so I didn't do well in high school cuz I thought 'Whats the point?'. And then my parents were disappointed in me. Ohhhh, the neverending cycle of guilt.

  Hey but guess what....I got my act together and now I own my own business (and no, its not window washing or janatorial work! ...not that there's anything wrong with that ...) And its a SUCCESS! The recession hasn't affected my biz at all

  There was a large hairy black arm attached to a huge black body in there with me. So I was a bit non-plussed as to what exactly may have transpired the evening before to find me naked in bed with a strange black man in a house I didn’t recognise. Hey- welcome to my life.LoL! I wish we knew about this while hanging with you at the beach! Priceless....

  Just as well she wasn’t a mind reader, although later on I would find out this was a skill she expected of me.Sam, You GO GIRl!

  I'm reading the Bible cover to cover...

  as a sidenote, in genesis 21....abraham threw isaac a party on the day he was weaned.

  check out the history on that and find out what other religions believe about that (i checked out the jewish & baptist websites).

  Two days ago, I mentioned to my sis how impressed I was with how forgiving Joseph was of his brothers who betrayed him. (following Lou's advice for bringing out positive points)

  This morning, I mentioned that I feel a little bit of anger while reading. She asked "why" of course. I just said 'it feels like I'm reading about Dad while we were growing up. God just seems very frusterated and angry with everybody". Immediately she started explaining WHY he was angry.

  Jeez LouiZE can't a sista say how she FEELS without being told why she's wrong??! Probably shouldn't have even mentioned that to her, but I couldn't resist.

  I got my book, WHO WROTE THE BIBLE....once I got back from vacation. Can't wait to delve in!
