  when i was a jw, i knew a brother who later on, became a great rank and file guy at the german bethel.. to make a long story short: he was a type of person, who i`d consider to be a die hard jw, who you couldn`t imagine leaving the jws.. so, i was obviously shocked to hear one day, that he not only left the wts, but also became an active member of the katholic church.. now this is one of the weirdest things i have ever expirienced as a jw at thet time.. .

  so, right now i`m trying to find out where he lives and what he`s up to theese days.

  i would like to interview him, to find out the details which led to his decision.. his wife though, is still working at bethel.

  so the wts has no official email-address?

  has anyone maybe have a clue how to get in touch with bethel without exposing myself?

  have anyone ever heard of jehovahs witnesses who are not associated with the wts?.

  i slightly remember a small group here in germany who called themselves "the new jehovahs witnesses".

  they basicly did the same (preaching from door to door, and gathered now and again), but obviously did`nt agree with some of the wts-teachings.. another thing i observed over the years, is the fact that ex-jws who wanted to come back to the congregation, started off by attending the meetings, and then later on (after being accepted again), done the field-service.. but, i have never noticed ex-jws doing it vice versa.

  apart from the usual threats. the worst return visit ever:

  an old lady. the whole house stunk like.. i just can`t describe it. just standing infront of the door just made me amost puke my guts out! the houshold was full of fungie and cobwebs. the seats she offered were full of piss!

  i refused to turn up again!

  My Grandmother has died today

  this morning, my grandmother died at age 92. she was a jw and i never told her that i quit years ago (but i guess my father told her).

  fortunately, i had a chance to see her a last time this tuesday when i tried to see her and learnt she was in hospital.

  my father had not told me that she was in hospital.

  What happens if you lose your home US style?

  i'm not sure if i heard correctly on a bbc radio program this week but someone may have said that in the u.s. if you go behind on your mortgage payments and you simply hand in the keys and give up the home that's it.

  in the u.k. if you do, i believe you are still liable for the shortfall owing.. e.g.

  mortgage owing = 100,000. house repossessed and sold by bank for 60,000. the bank still pursue you for the 40,000 shortfall.. is this the same in the u.s.?.
