Commentary on the Letter of James

zoiks inspired this thread when he mentioned this book elsewhere.. i have read other threads on this forum about it, but i always enjoy the fresh insight on here.. commentary on the letter of james was always my favorite book from wtbs, partly because i love the book of james, but also because it was one of the books that dealt with more practical christian living than constant wt doctrine.. i mentioned to a number of people that i loved that book, and got a few comments of "well, you know that book was written by an apostate.".

it didnt take me long to do a little math - that book came out i believe in 1979/1980, right around the time of the great purge.

how could someone write such an excellent book and then be branded an apostate just a few months later???.

it is strange that has not removed this book comment to Giacomo, with "auxiliary to understand the Bible" this write ray, them has did , been removed and put perspicacity,

Last Nights Mtg. "Demonstrate Personal Interest" (New Bible Students Beware)

sometimes it just hits you how cold and unfeeling this religious corporation is.. last night there was a part in the kingdom ministry about helping new bible studies.

in one paragraph it mentioned how the new student might cut ties with former associates because they are not living by bible principles.

it says that their families might disown them.

wow.

it's strange because even though i decided in sept that this is a false religion, it's still a little overwhelming to read this chapter.

if cult members have two identities, then where is my other identity?

Baptism numbers decreasing?

the last 3 weekends have seen 3 circuit assemblies in victoria with over 1000 attending each circuit.

yet only 10 baptised over the last 3 weeks, including 3 last weekend.

i can remember a few years ago when only 1 bro was baptised at a 2 day convention.. its funny, when 10-20 were being baptised at each circuit assembly back in the 1980s & early 90s it was always brought out that this was a sign of jehovahs blessing upon the org.

moscow (asianews/agencies) the leader of russian jehovahs witnesses has appealed to russian president dmitry medvedev to protect his community from a campaign of persecution.

kalin, chairman of the steering committee of the administrative centre of jehovah's witnesses in russia (acjwr), wrote to the kremlin leader, complaining about arbitrary trials against members of his community (see asianews, 17/09/2009, court in rostov bans jehovahs witnesses for being religious extremists, in asianews, 17 september 2009, and altai court condemns jehovahs witnesses for extremism, in asianews, 5 october 2009).. in his letter, the acjwr chairman noted that his community has been in russia for more than a century, and that only under soviet rule did it suffer discrimination and persecution.

Kingdom Interlinear...Yahweh...anyonme know the year of edition or even better have a PDF

does anybody have a pdf or know of the year of the edition, where p23 of the kingdom interlinear states that 'while we're inclined to view yahweh as the more correct way.....'.

apparently the later editions state that 'many are inclined to view yahweh as the more correct way.....' which is on an p 12. .
