russel and the pyramids

now tell me u lot is it true that russel used the mesurments of the pyramids to get his dates for 1914, cos i told my son and he went over to his grandmas house and told her, shes a jw,.

she showed him the latest dvd on the jws and stuff i dont know which one as i havnt been in a wile,.

anyways she was showing him it and it showed russel at the piramids and my son said see hes at them now on there, she said its not what ur mom thinmgs he was just traveling around,.

Thy Kingdom Come book also known as Study In The Scriptures vol.III has a huge section on the pyramid of Giza that Russell taught was God's witness in stone. At that time 1914 was taught it would be the end of the world, and end of gentile times. Russell used several different arguement to come up with 1914 while at the time 1914 had totally different meaning than it does today for wts followers.

Why did the WTS stop having the rank and file pay for magazines? (1990)

we had our po visit this week, and he was telling us about how the rank and file had to stop paying for their magazine.

why and how did this come about (i was born in 1983) so by the time i could get to the literature counter, everything (at least i thought when i was kid) was free.. .

was more of an emphasis put on voluntary donating?.

why and how did this come about (i was born in 1983) so by the time i could get to the literature counter, everything (at least i thought when i was kid) was free.. .

If every Babylonian archeological remain excavated were synchronous with the Biblical timetable then what?
If archeological remains of a unicorn were excavated then what? Then we would have extinct unicorns. But until that occurs there is no point of living a fantasy and believing in fiction made up by wts is idiotic.

so god created humans and ... oh well we know the story, things didnt go as planned ooops!

the god patched it by sending his christ and... thousands of years later things solved... but that is only on earth.. did you know that of every star on the firmament 1of 10 have planets.

yeah like our sun has planets.

One can speculate similar idea with just earth alone. Maybe the 10,000+ old bones found on earth are of earlier Adams that God didn't like so had to destroy and make new "humans" until Adam came along. We can speculate that Adam was the first human that God liked and accepted but many other "prototypes" just didn't work out as He would like. Nowhere dies it say that God makes everything perfect on the first try :)
Where there is no evidence, be it if there is a God or not, anything can become a possibility and any idea can appeal to certain groups who will defend it be it religious or not.

Hospital Liason Committee Arseholes

please be aware if you have just faded and were baptised , if you or your family have a major life or death accident the mongols from the hospital liason committe will always be there before you and will still try to take over the care for the family member.

why does this happen, you need to delete the master records of all family members and they are now not jw any more, if you don't they will still be called and you will have a fight on your hands to get them to leave.

contact your doctor / gp or hospital and get this sorted out.

How would HLS know if you're going to hospital without you contacting them? The blood card doesn't tell doctors to contact HLC unless one of the contacts is and elder in the congregration. When my wife was going in to give birth she told them no blood for her in emergancy but the baby would have recieved it as we agreed the baby wasn't a dub which went on the hospital record. No dub ever showed up in hospital since my wife never told them she was going in.

first off, forgive me if i'm guilty of being judgemental.

i got my own fair share of mental problems.

it goes without saying that a bunch of us on this forum are misfits and freaks.

This is my opinion and my opinion only. The JWs that read this forum for most part don't participate and may not even be members here. These are the ones that are the conscious class who are learning what they were forbidden to know. The ones that post pro-wts propaganda I just don't understand. Scholar, is one example. He believes in satan conspiracy that 607BC "truth" is covered up by the entire world and tries to argue here. If that's not insane I don't know what is. As far as I noticed he hasn't posted on any other topic other than 607BC so I wonder does he scan the topics each day just to find 607BC topic being discussed so he can jump in and defend it? Or is he a Bethal troll with an assignment? After all, JWs are forbidden from associating with df and especially with apostates and that's what scholar does. Raniee and other incarnations of that user or similar ones also are very suspicious of being actual jws or what their agenda really is. If JWs is a devout follower of wts teachings he/she doesn't post here. Period!

i'm an ex jw from romania and living in an area where our co was a young italian guy by the name of r.b.

so one day he visited our congregation.

Not true. If I remember correctly the crazy explanaition is that the fds provides this food who are anointed but that doesn't mean all the anointed are fds. Anointed and other sheep partake of the food given from fds which make the partakers of the food the domestics. I think that's how this is explained away. In other words wts pubs are from fds even though non-anointed design and write the publish articles for the rest but these pubs have to be viewed as from fds.
As for dubs i general, not all take money and not all are ruthless SOBs. I know when I drove people to conventions and I was offered money (I was never more than a publisher) I would never take a coin from those whom I helped out. I would venture to say that many COs actually believe the shit they promote and think they are appointed by the spirit and are humble. Obviously they are people just like people outside of wts, some are better than others, some are there for their own reasons.
