i have a friend that joined church of christ a few years ago.

they seem to be organized and behave very similar to the kh.

can anyone else elaborate and give and reasons or theories as to this parallel?

Do I understand the JW version of resurrection???

hello, my wife is on again, off again studying with the jws.

i have done a lot of reading and research into the wts and want to see if i understand this correctly.. ok, the wts believes that jesus 'returned invisibly' in 1914 and threw satan out to the earth, and in 1975, wait 1994, soon, very soon, we are in the last days of the last days, armageddon will take place.

when this happens, faithful jws will either go to heaven, if of the anointed remnant or remain living on an earth which they will make a paradise over the next 1000 years.

I believe that there was an evolution, and this is a fact according to Palaiontology and anthropology, and this evolution had a "Divine" guidance and design.

russian scientist claims a ufo saved earth by smashing into a meteor which blew up in tunguska 1908 knocking down miles of trees in the explosion????

he claims to have found a "control panel" in a slab of rock, and meterial that "can only be found in space" duuuuur!

i think ufo's are just another fantasy religion that people rely on..

If they were in war with Eurasia and allies with Eustasia and now it is the opposite, the books must be according to the current present. The past didn't matter. This is how WT is changing their past in order to fit their present.

Does any average JW have access to Russell's books or Booze Jo's rainbow? Even in Kindom halls you can NOT find those books. They are very rare among JW's. That is why the CD gives only few decades only and not the entire written history of the WT. Can you imagine the impact if they could read the Finished Mystery, Thy Kindom Come, Millions now living will never die? Not to mention Angels and Women, Russells false prophecies, Occult roots, pyramidology, numerology?

this is for anyone who cares... just my thoughts and opinions, which have slightly changed since i have left the cult.

a poster named melita said some really inappropriate things on barbara andersons thread on jaracz's stroke, which got me to finally post this, just to put it out there...... when i first left, i was scared s*itless that i was being monitored and watched by bethel for reading and posting here.

and i bet i am.

They do monitor major Apostate Websides. Just to remind you watchtowerquotes.ca that they close it. The most funny thing was that the webside DID NOT say anything negative towards the WT society, but only quotes from the early days of Russell, unitl now!!! The excuse that WT's lawyer use was that it could be "misleading to the current teachings"of the WT.....!!!! Yeah showing all the stupid ideas, false prophecies, flip flop doctrines they had over the years it could be "misleading"

Indeed WT is monitoring the major websides, even they have Bethelites trained for "guarding" bible studies that came across to apostatic material. Usually the Bethelites take over the BS in this case so the person who conducts the BS will not fall into more "apostate material and lost the faith". I know this from first hand, but I cannot reveal any more informations about this matter.
