  The World Cup Prophet-The famous Octopus & Watchtower

  well as we all now there is a prophet amongst us.

  yes i'm talking about the octopus that has prophesied all the football results for the world cup in south africa(we have to wait for the final to see if the prophecy will be fullfiled like the previous ones).. .

  after leaving the watchtower, 10 years ago, i finally found something to believe in!!!

  Well as we all now there is a prophet amongst us. Yes I'm talking about the octopus that has prophesied all the football results for the World Cup in South Africa(we have to wait for the final to see if the prophecy will be fullfiled like the previous ones).
  
  After leaving the Watchtower, 10 years ago, I finally found something to believe in!!! Yes I put my faith to the Octopus, since it NEVER(until now)failed to prophesy a future event. For the first time in my life I have restored my faith due to an Octopus with prophetic abilities...
  
  Well I'm suggesting for the Watchtower to buy that Octopus and bring it to Brooklyn and appoint it as a new member of the Governing Body!!! It will not be hard for them to pass this as a new light to the rank and file. We have the Biblical account of the donkey that spoken with human voice to Balaam. So there you are: THE BIBLICAL PROOVE...
  
  So after that they will put several dates in Octopus bowl, let the new member of the GB decide when the big A will come...This will end all of their problems....

  Deprogramming... yourself.

  so, the title pretty much explains it.. .

  i've come to a pretty definite conclusion for myself as to where i stand, and how i feel about the existence of a deity- let alone the idea that wts has divine backing.. .

  my issue is that, being born in, i have lots of subconsciously ingrained phobias and behaviors burned in so deep, i constantly catch myself thinking and reatcting to things the "witness" way- things that don't apply to my life or the way i (want to) live my life anymore.. for example, because of the way i've been raised and indoctrinated, i've grown a serious aversion- you could say almost a literal fear- of worldy people; girls in particular.

  It is not an easy thing, but take little steps. I was 33 when I had my first doubts. I was born in the WT, my dad was CO,(most of my cousins are Elders, some are serving in Bethel, and others as CO's and my entire family are in the WT, exept me. I'm the blacksheep of the family!!!

  First step: QUESTION EVERYTHING...Don't go after group or cult asking them :Are you the truth? There is no absolute truth

  Start to replace your jw's friends with 'wordly' friends. There are good people out there that they will love YOU without conditions.

  Try to act like a NORMAL HUMAN. If is Christmas and someone gives you wish, reply accordingly. New year, a birthday event, act accordingly

  Read books like Crisis Of Conscious, Compating Mind Control, The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse, 1984 by George Orwell. You will get a lot of help from this books.

  Plus in this forum you will make new friends that they KNOW HOW YOU FEEL AND WHAT YOU ARE AGAINST TO.

  I was for 33 years, but I couldn't stay there any more when I realize it was a lie. I might have lost my family, but I haven't regret it for a single minute, because I'M FREE...

  one of the things i really like about being out of the cult is that i no longer have to go to those long, boring district conventions.

  instead, i can do other things with my new family (fiancee and soon to be step son).

  we were out and about sunday, i had taken the day off from work, no point in bothering people with collections on a sunday and a holiday.. we had planned to go to a suburb of st. louis, mo (st. charles) and see some of the vendors on the riverfront in the afternoon and then wait for the fireworks in the evening .

  Well I haven't wear a badge for the last 10 years since I left. Since I was known to the WT world(MS(with elder's responsibilities), Regular Pioneer, and now I'm marked as an Evil Apostate who left the truth and joined Devil, no one talks to me!!!

  There are some young ones or new ones who don't know me, but I don't feel to talk with them. Sometimes I might get offer a mag in the street witnessing, but I politely reject it

  Australian brothers VERY negative comments regarding new "generations" ... some leaving Bethel..will this blow up in the Watchtowers face?

  a brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!

  it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!

  others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

  Since 1995 we had 3 changes of the 'understanding'. A doctrine that was considered to be solid as a rock, collapsed like castle build upon the sand. I believe more and more JW's will find their way out, since the WT has failed tramatically to give them hope for a new world in their lifetimes..

  2010 District Convention - Some Thoughts on the Sunday Afternoon Session

  out of a sense of morbid curiosity, i recently attended the sunday afternoon session of the district convention.

  the session consisted of a drama and the infamous "remain in the secret place of the most high" talk.

  overall, i got a sense that the wts is in damage control mode because the end hasn't come yet.

  Same old sh*t coming out from Brooklyn sh*t hole...It reminds me the good old early 80's, when I was a teenager and at the District Convention we had talks and dramas that were urging us not to study, become full time pioneers, because the end was just around the corner, and we would never grow old in this System.

  Well apparently I grew old, I'm in my early 40's, it was 30 years ago, the generation died, and still I'm 'waiting' to see 'God's' promises to be fullfilled...

  I do like the misinformed part!!!

  At this moment there are hundreds of ex-jw's websites, in many countries and languages. So with a simple search on the internet you will find a huge amount of negative information about JW's, since WT doesn't allow active JW's to own website supporting WT.

  So if someone wants to find anything regarding JW's a simple search in google and you will find all you need. It happened to me once when I was approached by Realians. I just did a simple search and there you are...I found all I needed to know about that cult and specially from ex-members.

  WT and the GB knows how hard times are to get new members in the era of information. That is why they are trying to keep the existing members to leave, or to start THINK...

  DC Talk on Generaton

  as i will not be in attendance for this year's district convention, i would love to know exactly what the talk on the new meaning of "generation" actually states.

  i visited my recently widowed mother (who found the "truth" when i was a toddler, and therefore i was raised in the religion - quit it totally 3 years ago) and had a lively discussion on the implications of this "new light".

  she seemed really disturbed about all the "new anointed" ones coming out of nowhere.

  I don't feel to listen to WT's crap. I just readed the main points of the talk and I'm just fine...

  What a crap, the generation changed 4 times since 1995...I guess the Holy Spirit likes to play with JW's mind and doesn't decide what the generation means

  two friends came over and told me at the long beach convention they had atm machines distributed around the main lobby of the arena so the brothers could pull out cash and donate more freely.

  anyone else hear of this at any other conventions of satan?.
