How long can one continue as an unbelieving JW?

is it really possible to continue as a jw but not believing in it anymore.

for how long can one keep up with this pace of life?.

i will appreciate it if any scientific study had been done on this and what has the result showed?..

this question it might have many answers. It depends upon the circumstances of each indivitual. In my cases I lasted 5 years. I became innactive as soon I realize that my entire life was fake and based upon a lie, made by some humans who think they are "God's people". I was for 5 years innactive and then my ex-wife turned me to the elders for apostasy. She did this in fact not once, but two times!!! So I said I had enough of your religion and I gave them hard questions to the Judical Comitee(you know the ones you should never ask when you are JW)

As a result they refuse to answer and I said if you can't give me answers then I do not feel that I will going to support a religion that doesn't answers questions and request blind faith!!!

So actually it is upon you. The best thing it is to fade out so you can still associate your relatives and friends. They will just say that you are "weak in faith", and you don't have to go through the process of shunning

Anyone have knowlege of Beta Thalassemia (decrease production of hemoglobin)

my daughter(jw) recently inform me she has beta thalassemia,.

pass on from her mom, my ex.

she have two kids, both born around.

Can you tell me if your daughter has Thalassemia Intermediate? Did she had the children prior of being a JW? The reason I' asking is that people with Severe Thalassemia are hard to born children. Usually hemoglobin is stable, but if there is a decrease on Hemoglobin then she will have to take medication to increase it. I know she will not accept blood treatment since she is a JW, but she must have alternative medication immediate. I don't know your location but in my parts of the world (Greece) Thalassemia was common for many years. Have a look at the links bellow:

The main reason is the abnormal marrow function and the cure is a marrow transplan. In order to face this she must take a combination of vitamins(appart with other medication) in order to help marrow to increase the production of red cells, since this is the issue with people suffering from Thalassemia.

jehovahs witnesses, who refuse to take part in the military service or any of its non-military alternatives (siviilipalvelus, see link below) for reasons of conscience, were exempted from the compulsory national service in 1987. well the jw's in sweeden better get used to having to comply with this very soon then.

Sh@t, do you know how many years we spend going in and out to prison due to WT's attitude of alternative service? Do you know how many lifes of young people screwed due to this policy?

The "Devil" has captured you indeed!!! Specially when you are ready to celebrate all this "pagan" holidays...

I left 10 years ago and haven't regret it for a single minute. I lost my family, friends relatives(remember that in our parts we have strong family bond) but I wouldn't go back there for a all the money on this earth. I'm free and I love it..

I spend time for my self now. I like riding my big motorbike and travel around at weekends. I found old lost friends, I do enjoy Christmas, New Years Day, even I get post cards for my birthday. After leaving WT I have learned to love my self, but most of all I have learned to accept people the way they are. I don't afraid from the big A, I live each day like it is my last, that's why I enjoy life.

No I'm on my way to start a new life, I'm relocating my self either to Holland or UK and I'm ready to face new challenges. I feel self confidence and I know who I'm, since I don't need any one to tell me who I'm.

Send me P.M I will tell you regarding Thalassemia. Does your daughter has Intermediate Thalassemia, since there are different kind of forms on this blood disorder. There are people with Thalassemia that they might not need at all blood treatment and can have a normal life.

this is a very good find from another jw only web site i have access to... hey i just found this on a link of my mom's that she is "friends" with, yes, still a jw...anyway, i had to copy/paste it so you could all see, thought it was a bit hilarious to see how they blatantly speak of keeping info from "outsiders.

" i did not copy the name of the person since that is not my point and i am not that disrespectful, but i did copy their comment...they were discussing the wt about killing all apostates and someone that was studying asked a question as to whether they all thought that was right or not, so here it is..............."james... although its a great article and very encouraging, as apostates do deserve to be murdered, it may not be such a good idea to reveal it our friend zeek at this moment.

he may find it a tad over the top.

1. A great number of Annointed ones are mentally ill, that's why the GB will stop counting the total number at the end of the year

2. Apostates are also mentally ill...

Does it make any sense to you??? I mean if they are all mentally ill, then the GB is running A MENTALLY SICK RELIGION, that produces mentally sick people...

If Pope indicted in International Court, Why Not the GB?

if the pope is indicted by the international court and found guilty, could the gb be indicted for protecting elders, who abuse children, or for not advising child abuse victums to go to civil authorities?

if the gb is found guilty of not following victoria's child protection laws and an elder in victoria raped/abused a child after 2002, could the gb be indicted in the international court, because gb members would refuse to surrender to australian authorities?.

That's a joke!!! GB has more superior possition from Pope, since they are "God's Channel", "God's Mouthpiece" and you cannot mess with "God". While Pope he is just "God's Representative" of the Roman Catholic Church.

WT Society Alters their History as " The Party " did in George Orwell's 1984

finally my wife and i got around to reading george orwell's " 1984 " .

as many of you know who have read the book that " the party " or " big brother " as the ruling power in the book is called ; constantly changes records of it's past dealings so as to deceive the public about any false forecasts they may have mistakenly made ; in an effort to put forth a positive image of itself it destroys past embarrassing records or paperwork which would expose the " party " as a failure.

much the way the wt society has altered their history to deceive the public and their own members.. notice this quote from george orwell's " 1984 " on pg.

All I can say is that they are masters of altering history. I consider my self lucky since I have in my library all Judge Jo's books, plus a 1-2 from Russell. If you try to compare that WT with the one we have now, you will find that there is no connection at all, in dogma, practices and mentality. What really make my foundations shake, were all the failed predictions that WT did, and most of all many stupid things that didn't make sense.

Very few JW's know what 1874 & 1878 & 1914 stood for many years, or the failed prediction of 1925 that the Ancient Prophets would resurrect and go to live along with Booze Jo in a luxury villa located in San Diego Cal.!!! (There was no explanation how those Ancient ones, located in Israel and Palaistine, talked in a language that has long gone, would just appear in US and try to communicate with Booze Jo!!!)

If anyone today comes with the past teachings of the WT, and try to present them today, then that person it would be an apostate! But I guess if you really feel like reading apostate material just find WT's old publications and read them...
