  Can most Witnesses distinguish between God and the WT Organization?

  yesterday, in one of those conversations i try to have, i talked to an older sister.

  she was waiting outside the hall for her ride, so i sat down and talked to her, just about like old times as a witness, theocratic history.

  she has been baptized 38 years.. anyway, i was saying about why did some leave in 1975. she replied, "well, they got impatient with jehovah, and they took it out on him by leaving.".

  Not in a Million years my friend. For JW's God=Organization. If you are part of that Org then you "love"God, either wise if you no longer be part of their Org(and beside the fact that you found a new faith and Jesus)still you will be accused that you don't love God

  Clarifying the Trinity Doctrine

  since there is so much confusion among ex-jw's, jw's, and christians in general about exactly what the trinity doctrine is, i decided to post this to clarify this teaching.. the historical trinity doctrine of the christian (protestant and catholic) churches has always been this:.

  * there is only one true god by nature.. * there are three distinct persons who share equally the nature of god.. * there are not three different gods (that is the false doctrine of tritheism or polytheism).. * there is not one person who is revealed three different ways (that is the false doctrine of modalism).. * however, each person of the trinity does have his own "role" or "function.

  " the son willingly obeys the father.

  Narkissos you have indeed pointed very good issues regarding Trinity. The problem with WT is that attacks the Trinity dogma without really expain their points. They are heretics and follow Arius herecy that came 16 centuries ago. Nicaia Synodos had to verify the Trinity dogma since at that time no one has ever challenge what was believed and accepted by the Early Apostolic Church. That Jesus is God, like the Father and Holy Spirit. We find this at the early letters of the succesors of the Apostoles and Bishops, like bishop Ignatius 120 A.D. They just wipe out the entire history of the Apostolic Church in order to give support to their existense.

  Unfortunately WT ignores all the facts, like letters from the early Bishops that show they accepted Trinity. They just drag from the Bible single verses to point out that God, the Father is superior from Jesus and Jesus is created. They ignore (as usual)verses that indicate the opposite, such as the devine name YHWH that the Father, Son, Holy Spirit share. Also when Jesus was on Earth he had the human nature, therefore He had a lower nature from the Father who was spirit.

  The worst thing is that they try to explain Godly things with human thinking, nature and logic. Jesus said that I cannot reveal to you the entire heavenly things because you will not understand them. Indeed Christianity from certain point and beyond logic stops and then faith comes in. Like reserrection, Trinity, Holy Communion, Baptism, are some of the Seven Mysteries of the Church that we accept them beyond any logical explaination.

  There is a nice example that can help us to understand Trinity.

  We have the Sun and from the Sun comes out the Light and Heat. The Sun is the Source for the other 2 Elements and without the Sun they cannot exist. We feel the Heat and see the Light, both Elements are Part of the Sun, they originate from the Sun. We do not seperate the Light from the Heat and the Source(star). We take those 3 Elements as One.

  So with the same logic we understand Trinity. The same with the Father. The Father(Sun)is the source for Logos(Light) and Holy Spirit(Heat) and they co-exist. But Father he is Higher than the rest 2 only in a matter of the Source. So we have indeed One God with 3 substances.

  When Arius the heretic Bishop tried to pass his idea, that it was illogic to have 3 Gods in One, Bishop Spyridon from Cyprus he explained in a very simple gesture that Arius was wrong: He took a roof clay in his hand and squeeze it. Then it was separated in 3 pieces, Water, Fire, Mud. Fire went up, Water fell on the floor, and Mud remained in the hands of the Saint. Although we have one Element it is made of 3 substances.

  The Governing Body and the Jerusalem Church

  to justify concentrating all authority in their hands the handful of gb members resorted once more to alchemies.

  the jerusalem church leaders were supposedly the gb in the early church and today they just resurrected that institution in their religion.. what they conveniently do not mention is that this supposed gb did not by any stretch of the imagination centralise power in its hands in the way that they have done.

  numerous christians, prophecied and taught without any reference to any gb in jerusalem, merely by the motivation of the holy spirit.

  Good points Amazing....

  In my case since I'm Greco/italian origin, after leaving JW's I looked and in both Churches: The East and West Roman. Indeed there are many common things among the 2 Churches, but there are also 2 severe issues that makes them different.

  The basic issue is the Filioque. The major issue occured with the translation from the Hellenic language to Latin, since the West Roman Church started to use Latin, instead of Greek. That is why the Orthodox Church still using the Original Greek Text of the Bible in the ceremonies in order to avoid any misunderstanding of the scriptures and their meaning. Greek language is so accurate on this and transtalions can lead to serious mistakes if you don't take consideration of the Greek Text. That is why the West Roman Church fell into serious mistakes and even more mistakes we can see in the Protestand Movement with thousands of sects, while the Orthodox Church had a very few schismas and kept the unity for all those years.

  The other issue is the Pope and the way he wanted to have power upon the entire Roman Church. There is a complete different view from the Orthodox believers of the Patriach of the Orthodox Church and the way that the Roman Catholic Church glorifies Pope

  Indeed the Orthodox Church is Synodic and the Bishops are all equal. The Ecoumenical Patriarch in Constantinople he is just the Presiding Overseer and holds no power upon the rest of the Bishops.

  As for the subject there was no GB in Jerusalim. A close read of the account of Acts show the opposite. It was a Synodos and open door one!!! Plus Paul would have been disfellowshiped for apostasy since he disobey them and circumsised Timothy and the Church in Antioch are apostates too since the named themselves Christians without any GB approval in Jerusalim!!!

  Jehovah's Witnesses do not know their own doctrines

  i am still active to try and help family and friends, so that's why i say we.

  i know i have brought this up before, but i cannot get over the fact that every service group i go in, and every dinner after the meeting, or coffee or whatever, no one seems to be reading the magazines.

  no one understands the doctrines of the generation, 1919, not even blood.. when i bring up one of those subjects, one in the group will repeat the phrase we learned at the meetings, such as "blood fractions is not really blood" or "i think the generation refers more to the anointed or something like that.

  No they don't have a clue...Specially the new ones(came into the Org after 1995)and the young ones. I recall in our time 80's and mid 90's, we had more knowledge than now. Those who had a Bible study had to go through the Live for Ever book, and generally we were reading more the Bible. Elders were more mature at that time and they had knowledge.

  In the year 2009 many things change in the WT world. Meetings have drop to 2 times a week. The hours of regular pionners are almost half of those in the 80's and WT study articles are boring and so their puplic talks. The leadership of the WT is focusing only on ONE THING:

  PRACTICE WHAT WE TEACH

  BELIEVE WHAT WE ARE TELLING YOU AS A DEVINE TRUTH

  YOU CAN HAVE PERSONAL RELATION WITH JESUS

  JESUS IS TALKING ONLY THROUGH US

  IF YOU DON'T LISTEN TO US YOU DISOBEY TO JESUS

  Simple as that. That is why JW's are ignorant of their faith and what their Organization was preaching in 1914, 1925, 1975

  one of my wife and my lurking jw friends sent us this article which has some very pointed words in it inciting all jehovah's witnesses to take an even harder line view of apostates in this recent april 15th wt.. on pg.

  It seems WT is loosing ground below their feet. "Apostates" are increasing and they show all those lies that the WT is been telling all those years. They are afraid from them, since they are the real liars and false prophets. Light has nothing to fear from the darkeness, and the leadership of the WT knows that their father is the Father of the Darkness.

  WT Society's Skewed View of Speaking Truth - June 15th Witness Only WT

  all i can say is that the wt society sure knows how to compartmentalize and pick and choose how they view truth and honesty.

  i'll share some of these " golden nuggets " and see what you think.

  June 15 Study WT - Faithful Steward and its GB

  from what i can tell, there was some discussion out here on this article about a month ago, but at that time few folks had their copy to look at (we just received it last week at our hall).

  now that most jw's have their copy, there has been a lot of discussion about it - at least here, that is.

  as was mentioned already, this is definitely a follow up to the 5/1/07 qfr "when does the callling of christians to a heavenly hope cease?

  It was about time...why it took them so many years to write this down what was already a dogma for all the JW's. I guess they feel that is about time to secure their possition due to the increasing number of the partakers...so all those years that they were saying that the FDS are anointed ones from all over the world(by the way is there any chance to have a woman FDS?)gone down the drain.

  I just can't believe how do they twist the scriptures again and take what they like. How can they just ignore the facts that shows the opposite and JW's blindly accept it:

  1.In Jerusalim there was no GB. In the text we read that the Apostoles and the Elders came to Jerusalim to discuss the matter. So it seems that they were much more that 15 members. It can easily seen by the Biblical account.

  2.Paul was assigned by Jesus to preach and he didn't have any GB assignement.In fact he went preaching directly and after 14 years he went back to Jerusalim for the circumsition matter, since it was the Christian Jews that they create the issue.

  3.If there was a GB(JW's kind off) in Jerusalim Paul what have been disfellowshiped for Apostasy since he proceed to circumsize Timothy. An action by Paul that was in direct contrast against their descision for the specific matter.

  4.The name Christians came out from the Antioch Church and not from any GB 'based' in Jerusalim. It was adopted by the Christian Congregations in the Creco Roman Empire. So can any congregation of the WT have the right for this kind of descisions?

  Pioneer School - Class Photo

  hi all, at the conclusion of my pioneer school we took a group photo with the instructors.

  we had to chip in $$ to hire a professional photographer (who was a brother).

  it is a custom with all pioneer schools in australia to take a class photo with the instructors (much like gilead photo).. do they do that in any other countries?

  Comparisons between todays Witnesses and those 40 years ago

  loyalty, devotion, hardcore, willing to lose jobs to attend friday of the district convention.

  these were the witnesses who came into the truth or were born into it some 30-60 years ago.

  they could reason from the scriptures and hold their own at the doors.. today, i see a large mass of witnesses who have been in some 10-15 years who really don't know much about their own faith, could not explain 1914, are unwilling to lose jobs and sleep over attending meetings and assemblies and live double lives.

  40 years ago.....shit I'm getting older and still I haven't see any 'new systme' yet or the BIG A...I was 7 in 1975 end I recall that the end was just about to start. Good old days are gone for the WT. Again I recall the early 80's when KH were full for the Sunday field service with elders taking the lead and ready to give their life for the WT. Now most of those elders have died, or they are too old, and some have lost their privellage.

  At that time it was the Generation that it will never die and the end will come, with our preaching separeting the Goatlike ones with the sheeplike ones. The heavenly door was closed and the 'Anointed' were reducing in numbers. We knew how to 'use the Bible' in our fingertips.

  Now all above are gone, and we found out that our life was sucrificed to the Altar of the WT's Organizational idolatry
