by my "pioneer calculations" way back in 1992 we pioneers decided that the "big a" would have to come by at least 2005. now i can't believe it's 2010!!!!!!!!!!

Your calculations are absolutely wrong...

In 1992 the 2005 date was way off the big A... Big A was suppose to come before the year 2000, NOT AFTER...

As for me, I'm eager to celebrate the 100th year of Jesus Invisible presence!!!!!!

Should a Christian see the movie "AVATAR"?

i give the movie a 6.5 score.

the scenery was wonderful, but the plot was not zipped up well.

it sort of follows the story-line of "dances with wolves", but in space.. .

What if a Christaian watch the movie of King David? There we have fornication, second degree murder, violence with David slaughtering all non-Israelites?

Is that acceptable?

What if someone makes a movie concerning the Exodus events and the wars of Israel. How about putting in action the massive murdering of innocent infants just because they were pagans? How about the scene that Moses(Numbers ch.31)asks the soldiers of Israel to kill ALL males including infants, ALL non virgins and keep ALL the virgin girls for them?

And this is just few records of violence and sex that we can find in the Old Testament, by a God of wrath and revenge. So that kind of movie is it acceptable to watch it just because they are events that occured in the Bible?

So if a movie like Avatar is acceptable for a Christian to see it I will not answer.

Personally I did enjoy the movie

New here-question about calls from the elders

i have been looking around here for a while but this is my first post.

my wife and i have been fading not so smoothly.

i pretty much know this is not the truth but am still undecided how i feel on various issues and i am still sorting them out.

Well you it is a serious situation you got into. My advise: Meet your Uncle, tell me that it is just DOUBTS, that you are kind of frustrated because the end didn't came yet.

Tell him that you trust Jehovah and His Organization and most of all that God will reveal new light to the channel FDS...

How do you feel about street people asking you for money

about half of the freeway exits i get off at have someone there begging.

in the past i felt they were only hitting me up for money to by drugs or booze so i rarely handed them any.

in this economy i'm wondering if some of them aren't really in need of something to eat.

It depends. We have proffesionals who do that. There was a woman in my country that after she died they found more than 800.000 US dollars in coins in her room!!!

Unfortunately there are people who like to take advantage of our humanity and earn money by doing nothing. There are gypsies that use small children to ask money. Even if you give money to the child someone else will take the money.

Once I was in an arab muslim country and while I was walking down the street a small boy, around 5-6 years old asked me for money(He realized I was a foreigner-tall, blonde hair, blue eyes) I gave him 10 pounds(about 3 dollars)he could get at least 4 meals with that money. Then there was a woman middle aged, and was looking at the scene. After I moved few steps from there, she runs on the boy asking to give her the money!!! I wen't back and ask her if she was the mother, bur she wasn't then I told her to leave the boy alone and she left...

The next morning I was leaving the country and on my way to call a taxi, I saw the little boy sleeping under a tree!!!

The outcome: I guess I'm lucky. At least I had my parents, I had a house to stay, my children have a house to stay, eat their corn flakes in the morning, go to school, have parents that they love them...

And Devils is NOT the only one with short of period time...

1. The fall of Babylon the Great: Supposed to started in 1919 after they set free Booze Jo from prison We have again 91 years of FALL..Well that's a LONG time. I mean it is keep falling for 100 years and yet NEVER reaches the bottom. If it was falling from Orion costellation it would have hit the bottom!!! Plus communism is over in Europe and all the people of those ex-communist countries turned back to their orignal Christian Faith the Orthodox Church. So it happens exactly the opposite WT's predictions that people would leave their Churches. In fact this prediction it takes place WITHIN WT!!!

2. UNITED NATIONS: According to WT crap theology the succesor of the Leaque Of the Nations, WOULD be back and STAY for a short period of time, until it will vanished to Hades. So L.O.N. was from 1919 until 1939. It lasted ONLY 20 YEARS. But U.N from 1945- it has a life span of 70 years, and going strong!!! Almost 4 TIMES MORE from L.O.N. So not only it lasted 4 times more from the L.O.N. even the so called short period has gone down the drain. 70 years is LONG TIME.

I guess the old fools in Brooklyn they have to do A LOT of changes due to their recent failures and current world wide events.

however, what appears to be promoted is mormon based.. .

why would a mormon based website title itself "upon the watchtower"?.

That's strange Mary...Well in my country we don't have Mormons like in U.S. But I see them more oftenly doing preaching work, instead of JW's, and those are missionaries from U.S. We only have few Greek Mormons, comparing to JW's who are 29.000. But in US who is the motherland of those big cults it is interesting to see how they behave. Any how either JW's or Mormons they do find hot any girl outside their circle
