Ask them if Jesus is their mediator.
The Watchtower teaches that that Jesus is the mediator FOR ONLY those of the 144,000. (WT Aug 15, 1989, pg 30,31) (WT Apr 1, 1979 pg 31) (Insight Vol 2. pg 362..."Blessings to Mankind in General")
can you mention any or a list of questions?wanna right them down and ask a few jw's....curious of what is going to happen....

day number 2 is done.. there was an audio drama, sure, it adds some excitement, hey, its different.. final talk "stay close to jehovah, as jeremiah did" ended with the release of the book ... god's word for us through jeremiah ... not a verse by verse consideration of prophecy, rather, what we can learn from jeremiah's life as a prophet, considers information from jeremiah and lamentations.
(of course informed readers of this site knew of this release already.).
noticibly missing ... jesus christ ... to me it was painfully obvious.. one talk i think was numbing our mind to accept the generation bomb tomorrow.. i couldn't help but realize that throughout the convention so far, the vast majority of scriptural references are from old testament (yes, it was hard not to say hebrew scriptures, so i just did).. i didn't realize it so much in the past, but it seems like jehovah's witnesses are trying to accomplish what the nation of israel couldn't, follow laws.
@ Heaven Best comment by far. : )
i keep staring at the bookshelf full of wt literature in my house and keep having visions of a red-orange glow as the flames crawl higher and higher.
my goal is to gather it all together, douse it with lighter fluid, and watch it go!.
ultimately, i dream of my wife being the one who strikes the match and joins me in the celebration.. has anyone had that experience?

"you would make a good pioneer!".
1. how did one sister feel about her pioneer ministry?.
1 "i could not have found any other work that could have brought me as much contentment or could have been so spiritually rewarding.
6 Overcoming Obstacles: But what if you say, 'I do not have the desire to pioneer.'
Overcoming obstacles.....? If you dont want to do something.....then you dont want to do it ! I remember being told this often from the platform in my former Kingdom Hall........"If you dont have the desire to pioneer, then pray to Jehovah to give you the desire". I hated the ministry. I hated the cold, hated carrying a heavy bag, hated wearing ministry clothes and hated the run down areas we had to work in.
I actually did do that....I prayed for the 'desire' to pioneer. I did end up pioneering...auxilliary, then full time. Did it for about 4yrs. I went to pioneer school and went on trips to the islands at the top of Scotland and preached there. I was used to give experiences and talk about the benefits of pioneering. But......I still hated it. I was actually quite shy back then...and didnt really like getting up and talking and being used in the hall. I realised that I still didnt have the desire to pioneer, but just just had sheer will power to get on with it. I wanted to be looked upon with some credibility. My former KH was a pioneer oriented one...was well known for its good reputation for producing pioneers and for its ministry activities....so if you werent doing it....you were definitely classed as one of the weaker ones and perhaps looked down upon especially if you had the circumstances to pioneer.
I got no joy from it whatsoever. I felt under pressure., and was glad when I actually fell ill with something so that I could skip field service.
That point No. 6 is really just saying....if you're not doing it, then why arent you doing it? Do you have a good enough reason? We need the money...so get out there! Its designed to make you feel guilty and to put a spotlight on yourself and your lifestyle to see what needs adjusting. I think......"No! Its not for me!" is a good enough reason not to do it.
i guess i am used to hearing the word "miserable" now with current jw's.. i have spoken to four within a week who all claim their existance with the wtbts is an unfulfilling one.. i had a friend many years ago who remains on the 'fringes' of the congregation.
yet, now i am out whenever he gets the chance he tries to preach to me.
yet, in the same breath he states how he enjoys going nightclubbing and holidays - with excessive amounts of alcohol (with all current jw's) and whilst away from the watchful eye of their parents, often meet (i won't say 'worldly' as that is a jw term - but) women who do not share the same beliefs that they claim to have yet they hold far much more in common then what they would care to know.
Jehovah's Happy People indeed! I think you would be hard pushed to find a genuinely happy Jehovah's Witness. In order to be happy it is important that what you feel inwardly is expressed outwardly, otherwise it makes for a stressed individual. When you walk within the narrow corridor of the Watchtower Organization there is no room for freedom of expression or thinking ability. Most JWs comply in order to makes others happy and gain their approval.....eg. Children with parents, young men with elders, and wives with husbands.
There is no space for the growth of 'real' personality or talent. It is no wonder that there is a growing problem with depression and mental health issues within the Watchtower org. They are TOLD they are happy! But do they FEEL happy? I think the evidence speaks for itself.
